My precollision system is malfunctioning and I will get to fix it later. Is there a way to have the messages on the screen not show up? I cant see the speed. It just showing the warnings.

Isn’t there an ok button (or equivalent) on steering wheel that acknowledges the message? It should go away.

At least you still have the analog speedometer.

I think you have to go to the warning screen every time you start the vehicle and acknowledge/clear it.

On my 2018 I turn the STUPID PCS off every single time I start the truck. I asked the dealer if he could permanently disable it with Techstream and he said they couldn't. So, turning it off is a part of my startup routine.

Pretty sure it’s the button on wheel with the arrow. Like a return symbol.

I dont remember if I tried the Return button to acknowledge, I will try that.

I unplugged the sensor, it doesnt go away. I even put on a new sensor, I disconnect the battery for 30 mints.

Anyone knows if the distance sensor is somehow connected to trailer brake system? Cuz that one is coming up too.

Yep seems like all the warnings for Toyota are like that. Yes I see the front sensor is limited due to snow. No I don’t need to know that every 3-5 seconds for the entire winter.

They won, paid them an arm and a leg to fix it.

Trailer brake malfunction, autoheadlight malfunction, PCS malfunction, LDS malfunction... was all fixed by, according to them, just replacing the angle position sensor in steering wheel and calibrating the sensor behind the grill.

Dropped it off Friday, picked it up today. Clean and fast service though. They even sent me a video of the truck.

Did the errors just appear or was something done to the truck? I'm betting that the sensor in the steering wheel was good. They just cleared codes and reset the system. Toyota needs to sell parts to make money. I just went through this a few months ago with our 4Runner. I had a PCS code because I turned the steering wheel while I has it on jack stands. It would not clear regardless of what I did. Took it in and they tried to tell me that an airbag sensor in the steering wheel failed and was not covered under warrant. They said it was $1200 and backordered. They cleared the code and said it will come back. It never did.
