Are they Tundras Maintenance Maps like the ones for the Tacoma?

My wife drives a 2023 Tacoma TRD Off Road with an automatic transmission, and I found the Maintenance Maps quite important since I will be performing most of the maintenance myself. She drives it under 1,500 miles per year, but since there is a lot of engine idling in Alaska, I will be taking care of the first oil and filter change before winter, probably before she has driven it under 1,000 miles. This will be this Tacoma's first oil and filter change.

Now the most important question: Does anybody in the TUNDRAS.com knows if there are Maintenance Maps for the 2nd Generation Tundra trucks?

Mine is a 2023 Tundra TRD Off Road (5.7 Litter V8) that I inherited from my oldest son who passed away last year. It has about 90,000 or so miles showing in the odometer, and I have replaced the oil and filter two times already. Also the cabin filter, and other minor maintenance.

Was thinking of letting a mechanic replace the transmission fluid, and the serpentine belt this year, while I will take care of the transfer case and front/rear differentials' fluid, and also grease the drive shafts as shown in the Maintenance Maps for the Tacoma, but I have no idea if these Maintenance Maps are the ones I should follow for the 2013 Tundra.

don't know what a maintenance map is, but there is a list in the back of the manual (iirc) that shows what should be done at what mileage.

I’ve never heard of a maintenance map either. Maybe maintenance schedule? It’s in the manual as stated above.

My apologies for making a mistake about the Tacoma Maintenance Maps. These are available in the Tacoma World forums. I wasn't paying attention

The 3rd generation Tacoma Maintenance Maps have the maintenance schedule or intervals, and a very small diagram of every component that require periodic maintenance, the mileage when the maintenance is required, plus the fluid/oil/lubricant type to use, including the part number. The maps are for one to 100,000 miles, and then from 100,000 miles to 300,000 miles. You can see them here:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2-7l-update-3rd-gen-maintenance-maps-get-300k-miles.789809/

I bought a 2023 Tacoma a few weeks ago as a gift to my wife, so I downloaded and printed the "Maintenance Maps" to follow the maintenance schedule. My Tundra is not longer under warranty, and while I can very well read through the scheduled maintenance to...lest say...figuring when to replace the transmission fluid, I still have to read the manual to figure which type of fluid, part number, and so on. But in the maps I referred to, the part number, quantity, type of fluid, and even the torque specification for each bolt, plug, and so on in the task are shown.

One example for the 3rg Generation Tacoma: Tire Rotation at 5,000 miles. Inspect for damage. Torque lug nuts - 83 FT-LB

That’s actually a pretty cool idea. Looks like he’s going to try doing the same for Tundras.

About the Tacoma Maintenance Maps: Yes, since it saves you a lot of time paging through both the scheduled maintenance pamphlet, and the owner's manual. While it does not all the maintenance required, it shows the primary maintenance starting at 5,000 miles (oil/filter change, driveshaft lubrication, etc.).

I just started keeping up with a 2013 Tundra TRD Off Road 5.7L V8 (inherited from my oldest son in March 2023), long after reading the manual and the maintenance schedule pamphlet. This work was done yesterday by a Toyota dealership, as the odometer nears 91,000 miles. Most of the maintenance below should have been performed by the 60,000-mile mark:

    a. Automatic transmission fluid exchange
    b. Front and rear differential oil
    c. Transfer-case oil
    d. Driveshafts lubrication (every 5,000 miles)

More than likely the driveshafts haven't been lubricated, so I will be doing that this week, plus another oil and filter change. Since I don't drive much after I retired (maybe 1,500 miles per year), I replace the oil and filter each summer, and then before winter sets in (somewhere around every six months). Winters are long and there is a lot of idling by the engine. A friend of mine and I will replace the serpentine belt, tensioner, and idler pulley, plus the rear shocks-in a week or two. The truck is scheduled with a mechanic for a brake job (front/rear rotors and pads) next week. I asked them to flush replace the steering fluid, too. A "maintenance map" like the one for the Tacoma would be perfect for most of us who drive 2nd Generation Tundras with over 36,000 miles under the belt.
