Toyota recently announced it would discontinue offering the regular-cab option for the current-generation Tundra pickup truck for the 2018 model year. Toyota can always change course, but this decision looks like it was a no-brainer. According our sources at Toyota, the take rate for regular cabs through the first five months of 2017 was just 0.4 percent of the total Tundra sales mix; double-cab sales accounted for 34.1 percent and CrewMax for 65.5 percent.

I just saw the most beat up tundra single cab work truck ever. There are more than a few reg cab long beds round here.
That's the thing with Toyota is they minimize options and maximize efficiency.... LEAN.

I certainly wanted limited but no can do with dc long bed.

If I didn't need the extra doors right now I would want an RCSB 4 x 4

I specifically searched for a RCSB 4x4. I have a Camry and a 4runner, which is my daily driver. I wanted the truck for hauling without having to hook my trailer up for the simple hauls. The reason, I feel, that the sales is only .4% is because they simply don't make many of them. I had a heck of a time finding one. The longbed is easier to find because they probably are marketed as work trucks, which I understand, but I wanted shortbed for the looks.

I understand though about the DC and Crewmax. If I didn't have a vehicle already that has 4 doors, then I would have went another route, but I love this truck, it's perfect for working around the yard with a tight turn radius, has lots of power and it even rides great.

Inability to properly recline is reason enough to discontinue.

You. Are right. It's almost to the point where I see a regular cab and it just looks wrong...

Unless it's one of those Dodges with the wing

If my 2002 long bed ever goes Tango Uniform, I'll replace it with one of these.
