Just passed over to the 2.5 gen…new to me 2017 @ 90k miles…Are there issues with the LBJ on these like the 1st gen’s? I’m putting wheels tires and leveling kit on. If I have it broken down that far and it’s a known issue I’ll go ahead and do it. Also are guys changing out springs when leveling? Are the stock springs worn out at 100k miles
    Thanks in advance.

No LBJ issues that I’m aware of. I’ve got 111k on my 2019 Flex Fuel zero issues. Build date of 07/2018. I’m still on factory everything. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it as I’ve had nothing but issues with all of my other trucks within the first 60k miles (ford Chevy GMC). I occasionally tow/haul up to 5k and some off-roading as well. My .02 is you should be good to go no reason to replace if you’re not experiencing any pre-failure symptoms.

No - different design. Under normal use - you’ll be gtg.

the rear leaf springs tend to flatten over time but depends on the load they’ve seen.

@nmsTundra89 and @AZBoatHauler i appreciate the info…going to take me a minute to learn this new platform. Everything I search on the 2.5 gen. Boards never turns up the info I’m searching for. This is a good start for my new to me truck.
    Thanks again fellas!

One major thing of note is check your tower cam seals for a leak there’s a couple of threads stickied at the top. I haven’t had any issues with it but I don’t know if it’s all 5.7 or just restricted to non flex fuel and/or certain years.
