2.5 Gen Bumpers!

I have scrolled through this thread a few times and the DIY Rough Country bumper is the one I like the most.
Does anyone else offer a DIY front bumper other than Coastal Offroad? I've done a bunch of searching with no luck.

 

I've been wanting to fab up an ARB clone.

I don't remember even seeing one in this thread for inspiration .

 

Cheap EBay Raptor Style Bumper. Light mounts slightly crooked but overall I think it looks great.

 

SIAP but dumb question time from me: for road hazards (deer, stop-big-oil protestors, etc) is a steel bumper enough front end protection or do I need a pusher/bull bar as well to protect the radiator? I don't want to go the full coverage ARB or RanchHand, but I'm kinda looking at the RoughCountry front bumper (which doesn't have a bar) and their metal mesh radiator grill.

 

Demello Off-road Front. Exceptional build quality, and took an exceptionally long time to get. Also have Diode Dynamics SS5’s sitting on top of bumper!

 

This looks very sharp! I’m putting this bumper at the top of my list. Front bumper has been the hardest decision for my truck.

Did you request a lower hoop so your TSS sensor will work? The one on their website appears higher.

 

I love that second picture of the grill, this truck looks mean! Amber looks great.

 

Pulled the trigger a couple days ago for the C4 rear bumper.... also hit up Colton for the BD flush mount s2 for reverse lights...

Oops forgot to mention for those who dont know. Colton is Hotsot Offroad.

 

sorry for just getting back to you here! But thank you very much!! Lots of planning and research went into getting it right. The Demello is awesome and would definitely recommend. I would just be prepared for it to take some time to get it. And no on the TSS, it just barelyyyy is clear of the bar, but it has thrown off the sensor a couple times where it thinks it detects something in front of it, but it’s very infrequent.

Thanks for the info. What made you choose the Demello over the C4 or CBI? I know RCI also just came out with a bumper as well. All 4 of these look pretty similar.

Sure does! I ripped mine out because I haven't used them a single time in the almost five years I've owned the truck.

 

There is a nation wide out of stock for the BSM’s and there are some folks looking for them. Check out the sale/wanted ads on here

 

Are the BSM's and the parking sensors the same module?

 

Nope. The BSM sensors live in the rear bumper below the tail lights.

 

No I understand that, but if the sensors themselves are the same then I'll gladly let mine go to a good cause

 

I was referring to the ECU for the BSM’s not the sensors

how'd the install go? pretty easy other than the weight? i have 3 weeks to get mine done before my trip

 

Oh yeah not bad at all. Can be easily done in under two hours if you have power tools to help

How much extra weight did that add to your front end?

 

Back in the day when an aftermarket bumper didn't cost more than your 1st car.

 

Needed all the clearance on Hell’s Revenge last week. Demello front and SOB Fab rear.
