Actually we were on the water longer but put 7 hours of run time on the boat. We don't just drive around either. That's almost all doing water sports.

I changed it out but than afterwards added a S8 light bar. This morning i decided to turn on all my lights to see how it looked and well
It looks like a stronger battery is needed

I was good before that last mod. I have a NOCO to get me to the battery store after work

I dont know what he has to be doing that but I know I dont have it.. I can only imagine the power going through those lines..
My ambition exceeds my talent and skill on lower voltage stuff let alone this !

In that picture we are disconnecting the legs to the CT/PT combo. The lines are tested de-energized, grounded, and the ring bus is open. The step up transformer is grounded on the high side and so is the exciter cabinet transformers.

Last week we took a lightening strike but stayed online. With the high ambient temperature lately some damage to our capacitors reared its ugly head. We tripped offline with this generator and had to peal off another unit since the condenser could not handle that much high energy steam.

Finding some capacitors for the voltage we need has been a chore. We called over 20 vendors and had no luck. Best case scenario was waiting 20 weeks. So we checked out old reliable and found a set for 1000.00 and included overnight shipping from eBay of all places. We had the option to run without capacitors and risk another lightening strike (Colorado is like 2nd to FL for the most), but this is just not smart business practices.

That is a little bit of what is going on in this picture.
