    I think you made the right choice moving up from a 1/2 ton with a 33' TT. Enjoy the Ram!

    I highly doubt I could wait and retail it for over 55k. Exactly what I said, I don't see a good scenario. If it blows its on carfax and sinks further plus I wouldn't want it. If my vin gets included it tanks more. Just wanted out. They probably made 5k on total deal, I'm fine with that. Lesson learned

    Hope you have a lifetime supply of ammo as I hear mass production of that caliber is being eliminated.

    By the way first dealer was at 46k for trade. Second was 50 even and I managed to negotiate the other nickel

    Congrats on the new purchase. If the overall cost works for you (purchase - trade in) then that's all that matters.

    ===========
    Side story - I used to be a huge Honda person, had two Accords and when I got my first job out of college and saved up some cash I bought a 2003 Acura TL thinking it was a fancier Accord. The transmission went at 44k miles. It was fixed under warranty and I never trusted that car ever again. Traded it in on a 2001 Tundra and have stayed on the Toyota track ever since.

    Did Honda do right with their warranty service, sure. Does Honda make great and reliable vehicles, absolutely. Will I ever buy a Honda ever again? No.
    ===========

    I can't fault folks for selling their Tundra's if they lose trust in them or don't want to deal with a potential headache, even if Toyota will take care of them.

    Pinecones are where it's at. Renewable, easy to sources, doesn't care about the market. Plant a pine tree next to your bathroom window and you'll never have to worry about running out...

    Nah, they've just been reallocating resources for the 40 Strong and Long...

    I would be more concerned with how much you lost rather than how little the dealership made. Those are a lot of “ifs” for about a 20K ish loss.

    I can't say I blame you, especially with that TT. The Ram interiors are damn nice and the Cummins is stout.
    I've eyed a black Laramie at the dealer up the road a few times and almost hate myself for considering that as an option in the future but 74k for a 3/4 ton diesel is a hell of alot better deal than any tundra right now.

    I bought F150
    The f250 was more bang for Ur $ but it rides rougher around town, not as good looking and would be harder to park at Costco :)

    Well yeah. Not my fault it tanked. Wasn't going to get any better. I frequently drive long trips in desert. Have to trust vehicle no matter what. It's only money, can't take it with me

    This interior is outstanding. I lost a couple features like digital rearview mirror and ventilated rear seats but it was available as an option. Color was a big factor and pearl white was my #1 choice primarily living in AZ.

    A car salesman's wet dream when they hear this. And they lied to you about not being able to sell it with a recall. They just can't sell it as certified preowned.

    The only time I'll ever truly criticize a member's choice here is if I was asked my opinion on whether vacationing in Iran is a good idea....

    Source? An open safety recall can not be sold on lot. Can be wholesaled or auctioned

    New cars with recalls cannot be sold at dealerships. Used cars can be. So anyone that is trading their Tundra's in and a dealer lies to you and says they can't sell it, know the facts.

    A few members here just embarrassed themselves big time. Not easy being forced to say you have terminal cancer to justify anything we do that have cancer. Deal with it. I am. I live every day like it's my last. Every fucking day. I'm a bit pissed off now.

    Sorry to hear that, and wish you all the best. Makes it even worse that the dealer took advantage of you and out right lied to you about not being able to sell your trade.

    That Ram interior is the Bizzness - congrats on the new chariot. Enjoy it.

    Can we return to the 9mm being the superior caliber discussion please (unless you're hand-loading 454* Casulls).

    *it should be noted that this shares a number with the greatest motor ever produced for a reason.
