The bears around our lake lot are so wild that my mom once whispered "look, a bear" and he took off at full speed never to be seen again.

The one I’ve seen up at the lake wasn’t exactly a nuisance bear, but it would come up for water and food. I watched it from across the lake, like a scene from Godzilla with dogs barking and people running, my son at my heel saying papa shoot the bear! Fish and Game ended up shooting it with bean bags and chasing it off. That was like 5 years ago and last year the camp host said it’s the same bear that still comes up, and another, but only in the morning and usually…… it stays to itself. But people are also assholes and leave a buffet out for them, then the bears get the bad wrap
