(sorry, haven't read all the responses)
If the camera/part falls out and the camera is then disconnected, does the console alert, especially when it's trying to display the 360 surround view?
I've not experienced this failure (yet, crossing fingers), but I'm hoping one day to actually move to the towing mirrors.

I got my 2022 limited last month with only 3000 miles and I already start seeing the bad side of the cheap tundra. Passenger side come off while driven 75 mph. I hope dealer valida my warranty

I just had this happen! I thought I ran over something, but when I got home, I found the wire hanging down…

Does anybody have a part number for this?

Outside of warranty? Toyota will cover it. IIRC that piece is expensive.

They can fix that at some point when the truck is in having the engine replaced.

That piece fell off in the car wash the first week. I taped it on with clear automotive tape, and it has been fine ever since. I have had my driver's seat replaced three times so far. I still have a few recalls, without counting the engine issue.

Yea my warranty is up. I’ll probably just look on Ebay. :(

I’m going to be working on a fix to solve the problem by 3D scanning the original panel and strengthening the clips to keep these things in place for good. I’ll 3D print them since they’re so expensive to get them OEM, and I will make them available when I have the design finished. Hoping to have them available in a couple weeks and provide a solution before every last one of these panels fall out.

    Lots of stuff!
We will be getting a new engine, new fuel lines, new transmission software, better mirror clips and maybe an oil change. All at the same time! It will be like Christmas :)

Then all we will need is a good supply of seat plastic and a fully functional fuel gauge! Maybe next Christmas?

Good Lord and I almost bought one of these pieces of crap.

I’m hopeful Toyota makes the necessary improvements but I’m giving it a couple of years before I buy. My 2016 is doing just fine and only has 40k for mileage.

The top part fell off of mine. It happened at the car wash....FYI they don't cover mirrors.
