Jesus christ. . Do you feel safe hauling family around because a tire may blow out? I'm sure there are far more tire failures than Tundra engine failures. Is that a reason to park a car and deem it unsafe?? I guess I'm stupid as hell to be hooking my boat to mine week after next and throwing the kids in and taking off 4 hours to Florida. . .

I've read there's a link to higher rates of neuroticism in people who spend too much time online.

It's simple, @BoulderGT3 realizes he should have kept his defective F150 because at least he wouldn't have had Billy touch it. BTW, Billy is the 19-year-old kid deviating from his oil change station over to tearing apart GT3's truck and attempting to install a new engine. What GT3 doesn't know, is that after a month later when he gets his truck back, Billy took many shortcuts due to warranty labor rates and having to take short cuts. Therefore, GT3 is unfortunately going back to the dealership to have Billy attempt to fix what he broke while attempting to fix the truck via the "recall fix". The silver lining here is that I anticipate we are going to see a major attitude swing in GT3 and may other Kool-Aid drinkers here. Which is to say, GT3 will be on here stating that denial and blind loyalty are no longer the driving forces behind his posts. I foresee him talking about regret, going back to Ford, and how could he have once been loyal to a company that no longer rewards loyalty. I am speculating of course...well, maybe not :p

IMHO, I think eventually we’ll be on the recall. Just a matter of time for the vins to synchronize/ update in Toyota or the NHTSA.

I find it very strange though. Were our trucks built with a different supplier bearings or the internals were casted in a different machine..

    Can only speculate.

Yes, I feel very safe because before taking delivery of my Pro, I had the dealer install load range E tires and got rid of the flimsy C rated radials. Great safety question though.

To your second point, maybe last year I would have agreed with you. But, now I would bet the engine failure list exceeds tire failures. And, I would never call you stupid. However, as a member here recently posted, he and his family of 4 (I believe) were stranded in Montana on vacation due to engine failure. He was 1,000 miles away from home. So, as a fellow forum companion, if you were to ask me for advice, and of course I realize you won't, I would recommend not driving your Tundra any significant distance until your truck has the "fix" that Toyota is working on. Of course, based on your post, I am confident you will ignore my statement. However, there are many other informative posts from members who have had the failure or understand Toyota's unethical and falsified recall memo that may help you make a more informed decision. Selfishly, I am hesitant to drive my '24 Pro 20 minutes to work each day, without my family. Good luck either way.

Awwww....that explains why you have multiple kegs of Kool-Aid. So sorry, I didn't realize we were dealing with someone who has a reading disorder.

Let me simplify. You owned defective Ford. You now own Tundra. You drink Kool-Aid and are in denial because God forbid lightening strike twice, so justify current purchase. Current truck blow up. Billy, a tech at Toyota, tries to fix your blowed up Truck. He doesn't. You take truck back again. It blows up again. You trade crappy Tundra in on another Ford.

Please let me know if that is too difficult and I will try to simplify (make it easier) even further. By the way, Billy is a fictitious name...damnit, I did it again. Fictitious means not true...so he is not real, just a made up name. You know, like Kermit, the frog that sleeps with you at night.

It's PaulPhilly actually. And, do I sound that way to you because the truth hurts? Are you a Kool-Aid drinker? Seriously though, I have to repeat myself so many times because many people are so delusional and trying to justify their purchase that they completely ignore and/or refute testimony, facts, and information (not just posted by me mind you). The posts makes them feel uncomfortable because rather than just ignore the forum and posts, they continue to read and contests posts due to denial and blind loyalty. It's amazing to me how dishonest Toyota has been with debris filled short block replacements as a band-aid and how dishonest and manipulative the SAFETY recall notice is, while only including a portion of the Tundra's in the affected group. Now, poor '22-'23 recall owners can't even dump the POS Tundra's because no dealer wants them. Yet, the blind loyalist simply respond with "warranty will fix it", "it's a Toyota, they will make it right", blah blah blah. Toyota, from the current president down, no longer values loyalty, integrity, or craftsmanship as I have previously mentioned.

As someone who once respected the Toyota nameplate and historical reliability, its sickening to think the now grandson and president would lie about certifications. Of course, if he is lying, how far down the pole does that immoral behavior go? I think the resulting products is the answer.

After reading this entire thread, I might be buying my wife a 3rd Gen. Do I have to specifically ask for the Chicken Little Package, or will they all just be priced that way?

You remind me of an ex girlfriend I dumped in college. She always wanted the last word, but never had anything new to say.

Look, I'll make it simple for you. We understood your opinion the first time out of the several dozens of times you've expressed it.

    Jesus dude.

Did your drill instructors ever tell you to reach down and grab hold of your balls? Seriously you’re acting like a panicked high school girl.

This situation does suck for those affected.

I’m pretty sure you won’t die though. You might be inconvenienced. You might lose some money, well you’re guaranteed to lose money on new trucks, so just plan to lose even more money.

Aside from that if it’s so terrible and bad and no good, sell the truck. Move on to something else and have it wrapped in your preferred orangutan shit orange color.

Or trade me strait across, I’ll ease your suffering and angst!

If you have read this whole thread, and you're considering buying one for your wife, respectfully she must have really pissed you off. Apparently, you don't like her (and that's none of my business) but man wouldn't simply divorcing her rather than carrying a loan on a defective time bomb be much easier?
