I have a set of the trd pro coilovers and shocks waiting to go on. I gotta see what the rear looks like before I buy anything for the rear bags.

 

I see stormtrooper on the rear of the truck. So Star Trek? No Battlestar Galactica? No. My last guess is going to be Star Wars. Why didn't you get a white or black since you definitely thought of that ahead of time? I'm a fan of all three. Really of most scifi books, shows, and movies. You probably wont agree but Star Wars is third and the newer Battlestar Galactica is first.

My seat moves, without me in it. When I reach in and press down on brake pedal/press start button, my seat goes to my saved memory 1 setting.

Turn off - seat goes into exit mode…

I got a little carried away with the red on black scheme. Added red vinyl strips to the intercooler intake. Painted the logo red with vinyl paint.

 

took it to the dealership...... since it turned over 2,000 miles, I figured I better get to the dealership because apparently it's only a matter of time before the engine blows

 

Added the hood scoops from the TRD but put in the Iforce since I don’t have the max. Thanks to raveoffroad

 

Wired up the Rugged Radios GMRS kit so I can finally throw out the battery powered two-way walkies.

 

Picture sucks as I broke my camera. But wired up my marker lights via 4 pin method.

 

So they only come on with your daytime running lights?

 

No. Drl (in Canada at least) are always on when driving. They turn on with the headlights, or if you turn on the parking likes (so your tail lights are on/side ambers on headlights). Essentially they work like they do on the PROS

 

I wired mine to be on if the engine is running

 

I thought about it. Prefer the oem style when it’s not always on.

so you ran wire from the marker lights all the way to the back of the truck on the 4 pin trailer harness?

 

I got a 7pin to 4 pin harness. I then ran the rear fenders, ran a wire up the driver to the side fender, up to the grill, and across the the pass front fender. Used deutsch connectors/deutsch y splitter at various points so it would be easy to remove any part.

 

Is there a post on how you wired it up? I still never wired mine up and that's how i'd like to do mine.

 

There is not. But the info I used was from one of the fender threads. It was pretty straightforward.

As did I. Traded in my '22 TRD OR for a GMC Denali with the 3.0 Duramax. I echo this post. Thanks to all for the advice, thoughts, and insight. I saved some money finding the extended warranty at a discount but spent way too much on upgrades because of the awesome builds on this forum. Take care.

Looks great! For the light bar, which did you go with? Did you get an OEM switch to mount to the lower right of the steering wheel where the blanks are? If so, did you run the wires through the firewall or drill a new hole? Any tips on that part? I plan on installing my new grille on my Platinum tomorrow.

Yes, I went over the truck with the prep spray before doing ceramic.

 

Yeah, I didn't want white, black, grey, silver, or any of the beige colors at all. Heck, I didn't even want a Tundra (I was looking for the Tacoma first). But yeah, Star Wars is my 1st. I was a 12 yr old male when the first movie came out so my life was pretty set. I have a FemTrooper tattoo. My other car is Stormtrooper'd out with a "TH FRC" (The Force) license plate. I have a light saber, jedi robes, autograph from James Earl Jones, building a R2D2 3D puzzle right now. Maybe I'm a little bit overboard. . . .

 

Got my topper (Leer 100X Sport) on and installed a Westin bumper! Bumper was actually a few weeks ago, but only now getting around to creating an account here. Excited to be making this thing "mine" finally!

 

Just installed the Alu Cab Contour Canopy today from Tiny Rig Co. in Westminster. Daniel and his dudes are solid and do amazing work.

 

This is one of the best looking toppers I've ever seen! How does it function with the rear window roll down? Do you find you don't mind the restricted airflow? What's your opinion on that?

 

Thanks! Not a ton of pics of this model out there, so a little bit of a dice roll... But I'm super happy with how it looks. So far it seems really well made too.

The side windows don't open much, they tilt out at the back like 1-2 inches. The window at the front has a slider, can tilt down, and can be fully removed. So that can give you access between the cab and bed. Our dogs will appreciate that. Haven't really tried it yet though. I'll report back when I do!
