I saw this one video of this guy spotting his friend (I think it was his friend) and he didn't straddle the passenger side so the rig ends up scraping it's passenger side and the spotter started looking around to see if someone else would spot for him - crickets. It was a shit show!

I’ve been showing him some videos and explaining the strategy - but I’m pretty much on my own.

Seems like a fine line of high enough to have traction and support weight but low enough to be able to still turn into it.

There's usually a lot of people there so there's a ton of pressure to not fuck up in front of all them onlookers.

Ha - if it’s equipped to do this, obviously a lot. But I could also live with some body damage if that happens - it’s not a show truck.

You already damaged the new one?!?

You can’t go through the Rubicon and not expect damage. You could have stayed home I guess.

This is a good video. You do need to stay high on the right and straddle the V towards the top. It's actually very easy but failure has some consequences for sure. Seen a few.

Stay the fuck off the escalator. You can do it, but I have seen some good injuries and body damage on that one.

I show this to people that can't keep their hands inside the vehicle at all times.

This is why I have a cheap pos to do wheeling in and not my daily. Blazer gets a side caved in, meh. Blazer snaps a driveshaft, meh. I learned my lesson on wheeling my daily 20yrs ago. $10k for a shitbox Chevy with some 35’s and gears and lockers and I never worry about it.

That’s Imogene. Bad driving - nothing more. Took my kids on there and didn’t think twice.

Sorta kinda reminds me of the road going into Jerome.

Incidentally, looks like SUWA has shut down a bunch of Moab trails.
