Heads up - might want to stop eating the leafy salads, I hear there is a risk of Salmonella -

And no, I'm not a loyalist as this is my first Toyota. As stated prior, loyalty is a illusion, I'm a data/history person.

An no, I'm not going to get rid of as mine as it currently runs well. Recalls happen every day to
    any manufacture in all industries.
I'll deal with the challenges when thy occur.

Post pics of yours. Or has it not blown up yet?

According to another thread on the forum, my engine has about 836000 miles left to go before anyone needs to take it apart.

You’re working on that daily failures list, right?

Why, I love leafy salads and Salmonella can be cured easily with Grandmas cough syrup.

Im sincerely glad yours is running well and hope you have many more trouble free miles. Poor @Terndrerrr and @DogRunner2 are VERY sensitive, loyal, blind, and in denial. But, it’s not entirely their fault…Toyota has manipulated many of us to believe the 3rd gen would mimic historic reliability. Yet, we’ve been played and fooled. Rather than fight it and deny the obvious, I’ve embraced my poor automotive purchase decision. It’s my fault, but will never allow Toyota to manipulate me again. Ultimately, it’s not that Toyota has admitting lying to us, or lied about the recall, or built a defective Tundra for the 3rd year in a row. The real concern, as well outlined by many here, is the warranty work that will be a nightmare as many owners are finding out. You can drink all the Toyota cool-aid you want, but seeing the pictures posted earlier of a truck and engine scattered over the service dept like a crashed 747.

I do hope hope you have good luck, cheers.

Awwwww, the infamous Gen 2.5 post of confidence. I love it! I hope you reach a million miles, I really do. However, you fiercely defend the gen 3 so about an even trade, my ‘24 for your ‘21? I paid way more, but screw it….even trade. Man enough to take that risk? Wait, why haven’t you traded for a gen 3?

Not really, I just won't be bullied because a bunch of no minds are dredging the internet looking for any crumb of a problem in the 3rd Gen and then living their days telling anyone who will listen.

And you just joined the Ignore list. Sad life you live.

Not trying to pick a fight and hope you have good luck with your truck. However, respectfully I don’t think me or many others are looking for crumbs. Tragically, we found a whole feast with the recent recall and subsequent QC issues that continue to rear their ugly head. We want answers, but Toyota has done nothing but lie to us to this point. The recall is untruthful and void of true safety for all owners and their families. As I posted earlier, the freakin’ president himself Mr. Toyoda admitted to lying. And now, for those that choose to keep their Tundrs through this disaster will have to deal with weeks/months of your truck being torn apart and scattered across service bays. I know that sounds harsh, but it’s reality. Safe travels.

Lol. Dude. Give it a rest.

I don’t want your truck. I never wanted any gen 3 truck. That doesn’t change the fact there are a LOT of them out there with no issues (including yours).
You're just being ridiculous and jumping to conclusions (still).

If it’s not clear yet, I’m not on anyone’s “side” about this.

We do need to rest. Before that time, how do you know mine doesn’t have issues? I know you said you saw my oil change pics, but maybe you glanced and didn’t actually see the pictures long enough?

We are all jumping to conclusions for sure. However, I look at the trends and it doesn’t look good. Numbers are increasing and continuing to disprove the validity of the recall.

Nonetheless, believe it nor not, I’m on your and everyone’s side that owns a Toyota. It’s Toyota itself and an inferior product that are costing us hard working Americans a lot of money that gives me agida.

It is, for sure. GM recently updated the LZO 3.0 diesel and its very respected not only in the forums, but auto review sites as well. I had a ‘23 AT4X that I loved and had no issues. It had the 6.2L which does still have lifter problems (mine didn’t when I traded it). However, the 3.0 was not offered in the AT4X last year, so I decided to trade. Now that the ‘24 is offered with the 3.0 diesel, getting rid of my ticking time bomb is an easy decision…if the value doesn’t tank soon. Hope your Tundra treats you well. Cheers.

Obviously you have never seen an engine tear down. That pics pretty normal. And you don't get it back looking like that.

Yes, I have seen engine tear downs but NEVER like that. They were in controlled environments with careful placement and organization. Also, the parts were protected from the elements to avoid further contamination.

If you think that’s normal, then obviously engine replacement(s) will not affect you at all. Although, it’s HIGHLY unlikely you will get it back looking and performing as new. All of those parts scattered on the floor for over a month will get dirt, contamination, and lord knows what else while uncovered. Also remember, the oil change specialist will be performing other jobs during that time. Regardless, good luck!

No one asked you to be "on my side". My God, man... just sell your truck, get something else, and cease your mindless quacking.

Sorry, I didn’t realize I was getting to you that badly. The truth hurts and obviously I hit a sensitive nerve. I would hug you if I could. I mean, somebody needs ro be on your side because Toyota surely isn’t.

Please don’t waste your money on champagne in my honor. That’s nice, but you’re gonna need that money for post warranty engine replacements and during warranty period coffee breaks while waiting at the service dept. And, please stop drinking the kool-aid!

Hahaha I'm a Ford guy. Always have been. If there is any Kool Aid for me to drink, it would have been Ford's!

That being said, I still stand by my comment that you are a Chicken Little queen with unasked for panicking about things that "might" happen. I'm not worried at all. I posted WAY up on this thread that I worry more about a meteor hitting my house.

Seriously dude... sell your truck while you still can and get something that makes you happy (get a Ford!) and then you'll be done with your "stress".

You're not "advocating" for me or anyone else, I see posts like yours as the equivalent of an annoying, barky little Chihuahua that doesn't know when to quit. Or an HOA that wants to "choose what's best for me to protect muh RESALE VALUE".

I could go on but I think I have made my point and would be beating the dead horse - like many on this thread.

I have a 2007 Limited Double Cab 4X4 with the 5.7L 3UR-FE. It has about 157,000 miles as of today.

I’ll happily trade you strait across. I have clear title with no lien. If you do too and are interested PM me!

I hear dealers are declining to take these trucks in trade, as I predicted. They don’t want inventory they can’t legally sell for months.

You're not wrong! This is, as Laurel (or was it Hardy?) said: "this is another fine mess you've gotten us into".

Sucks for those that want to pull the ripcord and I don't blame them one bit for being upset.
