After crawling around under the truck this last Friday, I'm seeing a lot of work still needs to be done. I may have to add General Springs to the list of shame. My leaves have big ole gaps in them now, about 1/4". I didn't get pics though. Could be from doing off road shenanigans. My Toytec shock bushings are already starting to sag. My caliper piston rubber seals are coming apart. I put those on in 2019. Ugh. It never ends.

 

I might be halfway to your place at the end of the month if you want to break your truck even more

Yeah, that sucks. Quit buying them. My last one made it 3 days before being adopted by another owner.

Over the years I come across some cool things that people leave in cars when they trade them in. I’ve amassed a few Zippo lighters and decided to properly display them using this $20 business card holder. Works great.

Just build 6+1 bastard packs like ya boi did. Oh and buy the shackles before you build..... Cause mine shipped like a week ago and I still don't have them in hand. And it took OK4WD 6 fucking days to get me a shipping invoice and tracking number. So don't buy from them.

 

Any sequoia owners ever change out their radio? My daughter has some deck from the 00s in their so she got a new Boss double din unit. The bracket that's in there doesn't fit the new deck. Crutchfield doesn't have one. Is this gonna be custom made piece?

 

Is it not the same as the Tundra? Just a bracket on each side that bolts to the radio?

Took my money fast as fuck, 3 day no notifications, status change with no status attached, no email reply to my inquiry, 3 more days with nothing, then magically shipped, and the for 23 dollars shipping it's on a 5 day ship. Highly unsatisfied.

 

I don't remember the tundra one. It's like an L bracket. It screws into the truck about halfway down the deck.

 

My Tundra (and most double din Toyotas) have a metal side plate with 2 10mm screws that attach to the dash mounts. The plate that attached to the radio is flat, the part of it that attaches to the dash is stepped.

I haven’t changed out the HU yet but it’s coming. Have a Kenwood double-din with CarPlay to throw in but I havent ordered anything for it yet.
