Having gone with 35's on my 4 Runners I was really not wanting to lose the gas milage and decided to go with the new K03's 305/55R20's. I really like the way it sits with the Westcott leveling kit and 1 inch Spydertrax spacers, just a tiny bit of poke, less than 1 inch. I like the stock wheels and I didn't want to pay $40.00 a piece for center caps, so I painted the stock center caps grey and bought some TRD badges on Etsy, it will work for now.

I have always had Grapplers, Trail, Mud, and Ridge in the past and I think I am really going to like these K03's, they don't ride like street tires, but the ride is better than the Nitto's so far.

Have you driven in damp or wet conditions yet?

I loved the look of my K02's but they were dangerous once there was some moisture on the road. Gave them up a year ago and thought I miss the more aggressive look they had over my current tires, I have not missed them when behind the wheel.

Just hoping the K03's do better since they do look good.

KO3’s addressed poor traction in wet conditions. it has been said all around.

Curious if you've noticed a mpg drop with the bigger heavier tires? My '17 Taco took a huge hit when I put Cooper Discoverers' on. It never bothered me too much because the Taco wasn't my daily, the Tundra is.

They look good. I’ve always been a fan of BFG but the KO2s weren’t keeping up and ended up going with Toyos. Will definitely be checking these out when it’s time for new tires

Yes, actually I had them in some very heavy rain within a couple days of having them and they did really good, felt planted the entire time. From when I looked into them they widened the channels that divert the water and they now cut across the entire width of the tire.

After a couple tanks it looks like I have lost about 1mpg, I am OK with that having 12 inch wide tires planted on the ground, spedo does not have to be adjusted, it's right on for some reason. I know what you mean, 35 killed my mpg, but I had a 392 wrangler I put 37 Mud grapplers on and I was getting 7 city and literally 9mpg on the freeway, granted stock they are 16, but that's too much

Just don’t buy obnoxiously heavy and wide e range tires and you won’t lose mpg.

I’m still skeptical they fixed the wet traction issue, We shall see once 40-60k reports start coming in. I had 2 sets of ko2s on 2 different trucks at the same time and swore I’d never buy them again.

At 40k miles with only a 50k mile warranty, I'd assume they'd be reaching end of life and not perform as well. Am I missing something??Screenshot_20240607-100559.png

Warranty doesn’t mean that’s the end of life mileage. Way too many other factors involved. Regardless mine had 32k on them on my 4Runner and they were terrible in the rain.

I had 305/55/20 Ko2 on my 2nd gen and had none of these wet traction problems you go on about. I live in Canada and it's wet way more than its dry. Only thing I found isas the KO2 wore down, the road hum went up. You get that with AT tire but this was a little over the top

Go on about? Lmao, it’s a well documented issue. Glad you haven’t had it, sorry you live in Canada.

Did you happen to mount them before the spacers and see how far they sit outside of the fenders? I know without them is one inch less, but didn't know if you had any pictures of them before the spacers? I'm looking to go with the exact same setup and trying to figure out if I want to run spacers or not? Really just looking for the tires to set just outside of the fenders. Anything more and it throws mud and gravel down the side too much and for what I drive on daily it is a pain. Thanks.

I haven't experienced the wet traction issues a lot of people like to complain about either. I'm on my 3rd set of bfgs.

How old were your tires when they started to get louder? I have 305/65r18 on my 2nd gen Tundra and they got loud also. Apparently, the rubber hardens after 2 or 3 years. The new KO3s are supposed to have a new/softer rubber compound to correct this.

I am looking to replace my KO2s with KO3s and was wondering if others personally saw improvement with the KO3s. I'm also contemplating dropping down to a 285/65r18...will I really notice a difference? The KO3 305s are an F where the the KO2s were an E so concerned the tire will ultimately be too stiff. The KO3 285 are also rated an E. Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

Probably 3 years but I only ran them April to November ( Canadian winters and they suck in the snow ) I would never buy them again. Look at Nokian Outpost NaT. 85mph and dead silent

I'm at about 15.5 -16.5 mpg, mostly to and from work lots of city driving. 15’s when I need to get somewhere fast haha. On longer freeway drives I can get above 18’s.

I think they drive great, its getting a bit warmer in the PNW so you can feel the tires gripping the streets. I personally like the drive. They are E rated so a bit heavier, but the car feels more stable. I feel like they should have come stock with 275’s or 285’s from factory. I should probably note I'm also running Fox 2.5 PES Shocks with OEM TRD UCA’s. 2 1/4” lift in the front and stock rear coils for a nice level.
