Don't worry about the rust. A lot of that is just dirt honestly. All that rusted crap is getting replaced and cleaned/treated.

I tow 7-8000# campers with my spacers on. For the last 14 years with both trucks. Still haven’t burst into flames or created any tire missles.

 

Aluminium or steels? Cause it make a huge difference in both capability and longevity

 

I’ve met people from Texas who haven’t even left their county, nevermind the state.

 

The dually is 12-13k with my welder and tools in it and tows 10k on the regular and 20k a few times a year. 2" aluminum spacers torqued to spec. No issues after 10 years.

I've even offroaded in moab multiple times with my spacers. Still haven't died.

 

Man, aftermarket lower ball joints and no-name wheel spacers. I don't know how to pronounce your username but I want to be as brave as you someday.

 

I know, both could fail at any minute. The wheel spacers have failed to fail for the last 18 or so years. The LBJs are just waiting for the right time to pounce

 

But I feel pretty good about my main bearings
