In a nutshell I need an off-road capable truck to bring to Europe at my retirement / vacation mountain spot. Don't worry about the local import or local rules and laws, got all that covered :)

I am thinking the lowest millage possible I can find on a Tundra "regular" cab with supercharger on it already, if not I can add the SC or even the newly developed turbo option.

I am thinking something like this:

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/jus...what-the-data-says.116060/page-2#post-3355856

Where do I even start finding such rare option? I do have money to play so cost is not an issue but also I am not just gonna throw $$$ through the window :)

Ideas, advise, pointers are greatly appreciated...

Fly there empty-handed, in business class and buy a diesel Hilux.

Find a truck with a blown engine & swap a diesel in. The fuel lasts longer & europe will probably ban gasoline eventually.

That's so true, never considered the Hilux option (European version of Tacoma) . Snap, you're right dude. I am such an IDIOT :)

I think it's better. It's a Land Cruiser of trucks.

Looking back many moons I remember driving a Helix through Erbil (Iraq) mountains and I don't recall being impressed :) Maybe if I beef it up and all that it will be worthy. Also need to look at cost vs benefit ratio. But definitely a good Toyota option.

"Not impressed" as in "dash screen is only 10 inches" or "it spun a bearing while climbing to the peak"? My impression it is a tough 100% utility truck with no bells and whistles.

Also roads are very narrow in Europe. Can't imaging being comfortable in Tundra over there.

The wife and I rented a diesel Land Cruiser Prado in New Zealand earlier this year, that thing was as cool as it gets. If I had my pick for a comfortable rig, that would be it. Or a 70 Series Land Cruiser, those things are so sick if they sell them in Europe

For sure I need something simple with no bells and whistles and the reason I looked at the Tundra regular cab with a short bed hopefully.
The Helix platform does fit the bill but is just smaller and I want more horse power. It felt like under powered at times.
Not worried about narrow roads in this location in Europe. Truck is purely for local transportation and utility work and it will be flying under the radar anyway. If I have to register it and pay the local emission standards ($1500+/year) I will go broke :)
