    A "Roooooyalle with cheeez".

Yup, we couldn't have timed it better. ATL's water and sewer system has been ass for years. Current mayor has put as much into fixing it as anyone. My neighborhood was in the boil advisory, but I turned the water off to the house while we were gone. Always do, habit, don't want to come back to a busted pipe/flooded place. I used to only turn off the lines at the washing machine, nowadays, I just turn off everything.

But yeah, water issues started within 72 hours after we left, they lifted the boil advisory for us I think 48 hours before we returned. There's still a big section that lost a 30" main north of us under boil advisory, but we seem to be in the clear. Mind you, Atlanta is probably waaaay more transparent with their citizens than other places. I've read stories about bullshit other cities have happen and they don't warn anyone...

Worthless without pics, but I decided my topper having a rear window installed finally made it worthy of more work. Installed a roof rack last night.

Now still need to pull and reseal side and front windows, get third brake light wired up. But...priorities. Need to be able haul my canoe.

Again we voted, 3rd Gens are now turd gens. 2.5 gens are just your standard me first mall rated "off roaders". They're like new "Jeep" guys, but with a more capable engine they'll never use

I still don't agree with that. We called them turd gens for years. We need to call the 3rds something like NART or something.

Decided to change spark plugs since I didn't know what the previous owner had done. Also replaced MAF and air filter while I was at it.
    Plugs didn't look too bad.

Then was wondering why braking was off. Parking brake was super tight, but braking performance was meh. I think I found the culprit.

I also have some spacers if anybody wants them. I'm inclined to throw them in the trash to encourage people to do things the right way, and not risk anybody's safety.

Whose safety is at risk with the spacers? I’ve got 20 years of combined use on my Tundras. Nary an issue.

Spacers, let me rephrase that quality spacers a perfectly safe 100% reliable would not recommend going off-roading with spacers though. At least aluminum ones steel ones would most likely probably hold up. This is why torque spec is a very important thing

I certainly wouldn't use them offroad. I don't trust them. Certainly not the ones that don't allow as much thread engagement on the lugs. And I'm sure it totally depends on what kind, material, etc but I'd rather just get wheels that work and not mess with them.

I wouldn't go off roading with steel or aluminium spacers period. All I said is they might hold up. Like on a light trail they'd be fine. Direct hub mounting is the best way to go

Other than rust, I'm missing the issue. Parking brake cable is routed behind the shock. Bell brank looks off maybe?

No I don't. They're completely fine of driving and light duty towing. Quality spacers of course. I feel they totally have a place and a legit use on cars and trucks. And I've tracked both my GLI 's with spacers on. Granted they've been 15 mm or less and hub-centric made of steel with extended grade 8 wheel bolts, and I didn't throw a wheel or have any tracking issues. So while you may have a hard time putting faith in them, again they have a legit place in the communities. And cornering at 100 plus MPH has proved that to me. Quality and application is everything. Know the limits of your parts.

But you do what you want with them as they're yours. But I'd sellem and recoup some money
