Whatever this forum told me to do
and my goal is not to poke anyone in the eye

I just want to convey that at 5k intervals, all oil is about the same

I can't find it anywhere local, only find the Pennzoil Platinum. Amazon it is at ~$27 each jug.

What more would you expect? You’re sending them a plastic tube of oil that they have no idea where it actually came from or how it was handled other than what’s filled out on the form.

That is exactly right. I sent them a sample of my home-brewed oil additive with organic copper salts, and this came back:

    Nah all good my man.

Here's what I paid for my last order. I save a little overall by replacing the filter every other oil change.

Yeah I know I could buy oil cheaper elsewhere but I have peace of mind with Amsoil. Unless they hike the price by $10 a gallon, I'm good with what they sell it for. Great customer service too.

Finally got the Blackstone report on my Tundra running Amsoil 5w30 (OE)

Edit: My mileage at the time was ~93k

Ok, I was confused by "OE"

I think I've settled on 0w30 M1 for both of my Toyotas that spec 0w20.

My Scion beater consumes 1qt every 1K so it gets whatever clean oil I have in the garage. Usually supertech 5w30 or leftover 0w30 from the non-consuming vehicles.

Yeah I wanted to specify which version of Amsoil I use. There's OE and Signature Series.

I've been watching too many engine rebuild YouTube videos. Too many images of smoked main bearings in my head. I think about that while I'm towing, thus the 0w30 and OEM filter every 5K.

I like the Amsoil filters but never use them past 10k miles. They say they're good for 15k miles yeah, no. 20 microns means dirty faster.
