    Hello Gents,

I recently purchased a 2007 tundra, 4.7, 4x4, with ~215k on the clock. I got it cheap because the transmission is blown (a750f). I was wondering if anyone on this site had any experience swapping in a750f's from other Toyota models to the Tundra, and how successful they were. A rebuild is not really an option, because the cheapest quote I've gotten is around $4000 (bench rebuild. Not removal, or install)

I know the a750f comes in a multitude of other Toyotas, like the Tacoma, and fj, and those ones are far cheaper and more available that an a750f from a 2007-09 tundra.

I live in Alaska, so availability, and pricing is a bit different, or else I'd just drive a couple states over and snag the first used one from a tundra that I could find under 150k. They are a lot more scarce up here, and getting one shipped up comes with a lot of hoops to jump through. That's why I wanted to see if it is possible to get one from a Tacoma, or 4runner, etc, instead, and have it function properly.

    Any information is appreciated. Thanks

@Ruggybuggy might be able to shed some light on this for you. Give it a little while.

I'm sorry but I really can't give a reliable answer. At the dealership we just didn't deal with any used parts. Everything was new and ordered according to the VIN.
