    $3/gal for 87 assuming 10k miles a year and 13mpg = $2,307 annual costs

    $3.26/gal for 93 assuming 10k miles a year and 14mpg = $2,328 annual costs

    I’ll keep the extra $21 in my pocket as the truck runs just fine on the cheap crap. That’s an extra 12pk of beer a year in savings.

    Haha. For sure. That's why I ran 85 for several years - it's what I could afford at the time. I just couldn't believe how much better it drove/felt/sounded/behaved with higher octane fuel.

    Keep us posted to what you find.
