I'm getting older now and have seen lots, but not all the things I've wanted on my bucket list, who can? Never visited Japan, really want to just wander through Tokyo for like a Month or so, and stop by every establishment selling food, booze, and dainty hostesses, what could go wrong?

 

I'd like to go to Scandinavia but, since the wife isn't interested, I can't see it happening.

We'd both like to go to Alaska but not until the kids are older. That will give me time to build up my collection of camping/repair/recovery gear I'll need.

No reason you have to give up on something just because she doesn't have an immediate interest. How many shows or activities that she likes do you participate in/sit through just because she's your wife and you love her? She can step up and do the same, or she can let you go do it solo. Doing things for and to make each other happy should kind of be the deal, right?

That's just it, there is so much in America to see that I can fill the rest of my life with bucket list worthy adventures and never need a passport. Europeans have this silly idea that Americans aren't well travelled because they do not understand the scale of The 50 States. We can be well travelled and never leave our nation.

There’s a lot of truth to that. And all joking aside, if I didn’t have this job I wouldn’t be traveling internationally much for fun. There is a ton I want to see in the US and Canada.

My wife, who has travelled with me to the UK, Japan and HI, is of the same opinion. There's too much to see in the lower 48 to go anywhere else.

Yeah, if I won the lottery I would hit the bucket list places in other parts of the world, but then I'd come home and just chase the good weather on my death sled. With any luck I could find a lady who also rides and wanted to tag along, but I'd probably be happier more often running it solo.

 

My hand has been pulled into a “dough sheeter” at little sneazers. One is super soft and squishy still, the other is the right hand work horse. I would have been super lonely if it was my right hand…….
