The PNW has a “atmospheric river” headed our way on Sunday. Basically if God got drunk and decided to piss off the deck…he’s basically pissing here.

Today's plans didn’t include cleaning gutters but it happened. Remember all that pollen I was irate about a few months ago? It created a 0.5-1” layer of sludge that clogged everything up. One side of the house smelled like actual shit and then a neighbor lit up some nasty weed that was wafting over. Good times.

Now for a shower…

I can't promise I won't wreck either one, but I would like to take something like this for a spin.

 

I can only get the tractor up to about 22 mph in 3rd

 

I had a 2008 Kawi zx6r for about 3 yrs a while back.
It redlined at 16k rpm and went up to 20k.
Not a ton of power and it didn't have any torque until around 10k rpm.
But it was light AF and nimble.
I tried doing 90 around a blind curve in the hills that I later found out was a reducing radius and the shoulder was loaded with gravel and road wash.
Got it down to about 60 before I high sided and thrown into the ditch. It hurt.
My neck is still a little sore.
So anyway, can I drive that white car?

Never wanted one, other than the true classics, until the mid engine layout. Now it looks like a propper sports car.

 

Is it as peaceful as it looks or is there a freeway behind you and blood sucking bugs the size of your hand buzzing around?

This is the first of three trips I have to China in the next three months. Beyond those, one other trip is booked and two more are penciled in before mid-September.

 

Dude, I have never left the country. I would LOVE to get paid to travel abroad, though the meetings would suck.

 

It has its perks and drawbacks. 3:30am Uber tomorrow sucks. Business class rocks…and getting to keep the miles is awesome. Being away from the fam is mixed. I love the first few days but quickly start to miss them.

The meetings are not what gets you. I love the different cultures and food. The jeg lag is what nut punches you.

 

I already flip flop my schedule all the time. I'll deal with jet lag for the cultural and food experiences. Being a terminal bachelor means zero worries about family. Not sure I'd like the uber crap though.

With your schedule you could book a last minute 5 day trip to Mexico for cheap

Part of why I've not done it is that I am terrible about saving for a trip, and then there are only certain places I would like to go. Mexico is not on that list. Zero interest in that hell hole.

The only places I'd actually like to go:
Japan - I appreciate the culture and wish I understood it better, plus the food
Italy - for the architecture and food
UK - for the architecture and to see the pretty redheaded lasses with accents
A motorcycle trip through Northern Europe/Scandinavia - (go watch Season 3 of Itchy Boots
Belize - It's like Mexico but English speaking
New Zealand - Scenery and seafood
