    That’s what my dad’s 07 3/4T suburban runs too. He’s used it as a daily driver and farm truck since he bought it new in 08. ~200k miles with nothing but routine maintenance…he’s been shocked as he’s been a GM guy with past 1/2T suburbans needing tranny work around 150k.

    The payload is amazing on it. It's literally thousands of pounds more than my Tundra...lol.

    No different than if I said my Tundra went XXX miles with basic maintenance.... Except they you would take that as a fact.

    The legit evidence for the tundra is the resale value across the market…but I also agree the 3/4Ts with the 6.0 vortec seem to be solid as hell vs. the typical gm 1/2Ts

    Resale value is pretty damn good for the 6.0 too in my opinion

    If I had to choose another make for a half ton it would be a GM too but they are still like a cheap toy compared to the tundra.Well 2nd gen at least. Don’t know wtf is up with the new one. Trail boss is a damn fine looking truck though

    RAS, 285/75 DTs, dual battery, SS3 Pro
    My GMs (Suburban and Yukon XL) both drank a lot of oil due to AFM. Yukon fouled up cylinder 7 so bad every 8k miles it would misfire. Range AFM disabler slowed that down a lot. Blew the rear diff in the suburban at 200k miles, after a long time of not knowing why it would randomly die on left turns (we finally found out part of the wiring harness came loose and was rubbing on the steering column). We got rid of it at 260k with a bad ac compressor. Yukon stranded my wife a couple times, too. It would randomly decide not to start, and all the dash lights and door locks would flutter like it was possessed. Unplugging the battery and plugging it back in would work 90% of the time. If it didn’t work, wait and try again. Last straw was when it blew a heater hose on the highway during rush hour, and my family had to sit on the side of the road yet again.

    It’s hard to imagine the same company makes a 2500 that has zero problems when my 1500s were spotty at best, but Casper’s experience inspires a little hope.

    I wouldn’t say zero problems. Ha my old work truck was a 09 2500 with a service body that has had a bunch of shit replaced including engine and tranny. Sketchy past though.

    I would say compared to most vehicles they are solid but if I were to compare a tundra it would still definitely loose. I mean the tundra is hard to compete with there, it really is such a solid machine. But unfortunately it is not a true HD so gotta work with what’s out there

    My Tundra weighs in at 7400# on the scale with me in it. That's fully built with bumpers, skid plates, oversized tires, full size spare, fridge, hand/power tools, recovery gear, winch, floor jack, second battery, full 38gal tank, and my 225# ass. It adds up quick, but even overloaded these trucks don't care. I've still put several hundred pounds of corn and feed in my bed and barely felt it, but I also have HD springs fwiw

    I’ve been debating HD springs…I did get the RAS springs though, so that helps.

    After the initial hit to the wallet is done, I’ve not once regretted buying my Deavers. Sooooo much better than OEM springs.
