Good morning, I am new to the group. I just purchased a 2023 Tundra Platinum and I am looking to upgrade the tire size. I have the stock 20s and don't plan to lift it. It is a 4x2. Most of what I have seen are tire upgrade sizes for the 4x4.

Than y'all tell me what size I can go to without issues. 275/60/20 or maybe 28/60/20? Thanks in advance for your help and knowledge

Anything that works for a 4wd will work for you.

Yep you have less drive train but the same suspension spindles, etc.....as the @Bourbonator said 4x4 4x2, 4x1 it don't matter. If it starts with 4 and is a 3ed gen tundra you're good.

Also most people don't' rely on the local tire place (for me Discount Tire), head on down to your local tire shop and tell them what tire you want and then ask them if they think they will fit. If they say they'll fit and they end up not then its on them. Literally let the guys that do tires every day help you out. They are literally experts in their field (most of the time). Dont' ever trust anything a dealership tells you.... ever.

I appreciate the advice. My truck doesn't need tires yet, but I am just getting prepared and trying to do a little home work. I had a 2019 platinum that I had to let go thanks to a slight divorce, lol. I finally got squared away so I could get another one. I love the new truck.

Slight divorce? Can't throw that out there with some context. Guess she (or I guess possibly he in the modern world) got half or more of your shit so probably nothing slight about it.

No, she didn't get any of my shit, but had to free up some cash. I paid her a large lump and then paid her every month for 18 months. I actually kept all my stuff, house, boat, camper, and got full custody of the kids.... Shit, I even kept the dogs. just traded my truck for something a little cheaper until my finances recovered.
