I know I haven’t spent much time on the forum as of late, but holy hot bag of cocaine, how did I not see what you did with them wheels?? Low-pro/flying under the radar has left the building. If I stand on my roof, I could probably see your truck from my house. :boink::rofl:
ScangaugeII is awesome for this. It’s the reason I’ve always got mine connected and mounted on my dash. Speedo hasn’t been right since a week after I bought the truck and mounted the 35’s. Thru all the gear changes, tires sizes, you can always trust the scangauge. After you set it up correctly of course.

What's people's opinion on the plastic ears on each side of the skidplate? I sorta like the splash protection, but it feels like they're more trouble than anything. Bolt holes rip, etc, and I swear they catch wind when I'm driving at highway speeds and always have me nervous that I've got a vibration/grumble somewhere in the driveline.

Speaking of gears; unfortunate to report that I ate up another set of gears. Really like them 4.88’s, but gobble gobble. Glad I’ve held onto my stock 3rd member. It’s saved me a couple times now. Before anyone asks if the gears were set up well; since installing the (now compromised) 4.88’s, it’s been a year and a half and about 40k miles, including 2 trips wheeling the shit out of it, and testing the governor daily on the freeway. Never showed any signs leading up to failure and no noise ever until the failure. :notsure:
    Motive gears. Fkn hell.

So this local glass place told me I most likely have a rust issue and will have to be down my truck a few days to replace the windshield. I'm just gonna put this off till "fuck knows" when lol at the very least I'm looking at $600 for rust treatment/glass/seals/install and about 2-3 days

Gonna ride it till it falls off

Yeah. Like I said the extra protection is nice, but they seem like more of a hassle than they're worth.

They help limit salt intrusion during the winter so they play their part. Your skid plate tells the same story.

Did my passenger side lower ball joint today. Broke the damn tie rod end castle nut and cannot locate a replacement. Could not finish the job today. Will there be any damage if the truck sits a few days on its own weight with the tie rod end disconnected?

I had a similar situation. Found nylock nuts that fit to get me through until the castle nut I ordered from Toyota showed up. Can't you just keep it up on jackstands?

Isn't there a way I can get it recalibrated or do I just have to know my offset which is currently minus 4 off the needle. RPMs are still true tho.

Both my trucks have scangauge2. That's the thing you asked me about at your house. I'd possibly be willing to part with one. I been considering buying a new scangauge3
