Finally lifted my truck... *PICS*

Literally.

Finally chipping away at my bucket list... and a twin post lift was on that list.
Man... what a game changer this is.

 

oh man, what id give to have a pole barn or space like that instead of my tiny garage...


what brand/model lift did you decide to go with?

 

Nice! Did you consider a pit with rolling jacks at all? Kinda leaning that way here, but I have time to think on it for about 2 more years. Come on powerball!!!

 

We only built the garage a year ago. 30 wide x 40 deep, 14ft ceiling and a whole 2nd floor above. (not cheap)
Unfortunately I can only use half the building because my boat hogs up the entire other half of the floor space.

I found the lift at mechanic superstore. It's a Tuxedo brand 11,000lb lift.
$3549.96 after taxes.
I picked it up at a local warehouse about an hour from home. It saved me a ton of hassle arranging delivery and off-loading a 1700lb package.

Fortunately I have a rolling gantry crane to use and let it do most of the heavy lifting.

 

Garage pits can be super dangerous and im pretty sure they are frowned upon or illegal in many states.

$3500 wasnt bad for an 11k lift in my opinion.

 

Yeah, decent price! Pits are certainly not illegal anywhere I have been, every quick lube shop has at least one.
