I don’t hate the small rake that it has. If I do anything to level, it will probably be 1 inch Eibach to accommodate a steel bumper

Only advice I will give with spacers ; Re-check Torque EVERY time you rotate your tires...

I installed .75 Bora's on the front when I upgraded to 2nd Generation OEM wheels and Never had a problem...And Yes , that Tacoma went off-road'

Try living in NH & Vermont and not wheel :fistbump: including driving in snow storms :burnrubber:....

I have 1.25” spacers running Toyo ATIII 35/12.5/r18 on stock wheels. Although I love the aesthetics not a fan of using spacers. It’s just another point of failure to worry about. Now thinking about going with 295/70/r18 Toyos and removing the spacers. Would anyone be interested in purchasing them?

I just really like the look of the stock wheels. I am swapping the tires for 275/70R18 for a slightly taller look and I think a 1 inch spacer will push them out just enough to be noticeable

No BMC needed? Doing 3” lift with 6112 and CB shims. Want to do 295/70/18. Have bora 1.25” spacers.

You should be good with no BMC.

Thanks! I know each truck is different. Doing new control arms also. So I hope it doesn’t push the wheel back too far. Prob do bumper shims to push it out .5” to clear front plastic. Just would be pissed to have to do the BMC. Seems pricy to have a shop do that.

Understand. I did not want to do the BMC. Also did not want to use spacers. Initially I was told could run 35/12.5/r18 with no rubbing with 3” ICON lift and UCAs (actual front lift max adjustment about 2.75”). The front flaps had to be removed and bumper pushed forward a little. Then later discovered rubbing at full wheel lock. Disappointed at first as wanted to avoid spacers. However addressing the rubbing with 1.25” Spydertrax spacers visually looked better than expected. I posted pictures in earlier posts. Anyway after two years it’s time for new tires and considering to go with 295/70/r18. I’m hearing from several sources no issue with rubbing without the spacers. If correct then will change size and remove the spacers.

Gotcha. I have zone off-road control arms, so I believe I’ll need spacers to clear them. Sadly, they will prob move my wheel back and make me require BMC.

    35k. Even tread with 8/32” remaining. $400
Good way to see if you like the size without spending $1600.

Hi ZPhilip. I’m in Arizona. Yesterday tried a friends 295’s for size without the spacers. Besides the aesthetics and width barely can tell on height. Unfortunately there’s still rubbing at full lock. The choices are either reduce tire size diameter to run without the spacers or stay with the 35’s. It’s a tough decision. I appreciate the offer and you responding to my post. Thank you.

I feel your pain. My situation is I purchased 285/65/18 ATIII’s in September. Less than 8k on them. Wasn’t planning on lifting. They will look too small with my lift. Spacers will help the look. But I don’t want to buy new tires. Shop said they would give me $700 for them. Putting me out about $1200 for 295/70/18. Don’t really want to pony that up right now. So it’s either do it or wait till these tires are worn down in about 2 years haha. Might just do 285/70 or 285/75 and avoid the BMC.

No BMC needed. To stop rubbing at full turns, I only had to remove the front small "flaps" and use a heat gun and soft blow hammer to shape the front fender well toward the fenders...and also shape the mud flaps a little (easy work). Then again, I'm only lifted about 2.5". I've run the 1.25" spacers with stock wheels and now 1.0" Bora wheel spacers on 295/70 R18 Coopers with TRD Pro wheels and no issues: Tundra 12202021.jpg

Thanks for the info. I’m planning on going 3” front. Do you think that would make a difference? I’m being so particular because a BMC in NY might not pass inspection.

I can't give you 100% confident advice on your truck as your set-up is a little different from mine. Take these comments as you want, but my "personal opinion" from all that I've read on this subject here and my own experience is that you should be OK without a BMC...I wouldn't do the BMC if I were in your situation and worse case just drop the lift a little if needed and/or install front bumper spacers. I'm at 2.75" lift on the front and like I've mentioned before, I've run 1.25" and now 1.0" wheel spacers on Cooper 295/70 R18 AT3 (34" OD) tires. I can't see how a 0.25" higher lift would hurt and if anything, it might actually improve clearances. Now, going with larger tires would be a different story for me. Best of luck!

I hate it haha. Anyone ever run 1.5” on one side and 1.25” on the other to fix it?? That probs would make the truck out of wack.

These are the best pics I have right now. The tires protrude past the the fenders by maybe 1/4", if that much.

Hey man, I'm about to install my 1" Bora spacers and have the stock TRD Pro BBS wheels. Did you have to grind the wheel studs, or did they clear? Thanks!
