It was an SR5 with the off-road package, lunar rock, 19,000 miles. $48,000.00.

I don’t have that wishful thinking anymore. I see where things are heading with government meddling.

Although I did read Toyota does not believe in full electrification of vehicles.

No questions if Toyota had it fixed back in 2018, when it started to grenade. Okay, have it fixed in 2019 is acceptable, too. 2019 and onward is no more main bearings problem.

The FP700 is super cool. Especially if you get a single cab short bed, add 12k FP700 package and it’s under 50k and still a “truck” but hilariously fast and has a warranty. I used to be a Ford person and their dealership and general builds pushed me away. The lack of fun new Toyota options, outside of like the GR corolla, is disappointing (no performance trucks/suv/etc options).

No love for the new Supra? I don't know how I feel about the collaboration with BMW and Toyota on the supra though. It would be nice if they did have at least engines that can be tuned. Honda Accords are kicking ass with their new turbo engines. I have one in the wife's RDX and I can see the potential for a 4cyl turbo.

Yeah the BMW aspect just kills it for me (and that it’s a clone of another car with same engine etc. at least there’s a manual now). I sat in one at the dealer a few times and Im just too big for it to work (same for GR86). The GR corolla on the other hand was surprisingly large inside.

I have no problem with the new engine. Initially, I was skeptical about the turbo. But I spoke with a friend of mine who's run an international semi for 24 years, and about 2 1/2 million miles. He's gone through a few engines, transmissions, and so forth, but he never had a turbo fail him. Of course, each new engine came with a new turbo, but none ever gave him a lick of problems. Knowing that Toyota uses an industrial grade turbo, that qualmed any concerns that I had.

No, I had no issues with the engine, other than I don't like turbo lag, and didn't want to pay for the hybrid. I was satisfied with the motor. It's the rest of the truck that I didn't like.

So an actual owner of a 3rd gen post a thread about not liking his truck and it's a non helpful thread?
I guess the same can be said for all the owners that make threads about how much they like their 3rd gen.
Because like I said before, opinions are like you know what.

Blows my mind why people now days will spend $$$$$ on something they don't like and then blame manufacture for them being unsatisfied with a product that didn't have to purchase.

I think most people have been conditioned to think “new is better” so assumptions fly.

I don’t think it’s people being conditioned to think new is better. I think it’s more so people having to be the first. We live in a time where anyone can have a voice because of social media and people have to be first for the views and spew garbage to the masses. Even if a product is crap you will have tons of influencers that are paid to promote it say how good it is. People spend the money and are disappointed since they did no research. New isn’t always worse, but lack of research for instant gratification is what sours people views on products, whether it is a bad product or not.
