does anyone in Southern Kommiefornia have the rear seat storage that is willing to lend it out?
happy to give you one made out of metal when I am done with it.

the one pictured below appears to leave a lot of unused realstate and I know I can build for far less.

You want to borrow the plastic one to build a metal one and will give me a metal one when done? If so, I'm in. Whereabouts are you located in Socal? PM me.

yeah I was not happy with the options out there so I made my one, the door is better made and harder to pry open, the hinges are concealed and the doors can be removed , working on securing it to the truck with tamper resistant bolts , I made it as deep as posible w/o interfering with the straps.

That is nice. Just for curiosity, how much does it weigh? A good lock system would possibly make a nice security option for valuables. Awesome work!

No negativity at all intended if thats how it came across. I couldn't tell by the pics (on a phone) of what locks they are. It was more of just an idea for security during your designs and updates. It truly does look awesome and way better than the plastic one.

the other lock I had in mind was a T-handle vending machine lock. , the problem I saw is that it goes deep into the box.

criticism is ALWAYS welcomed, anything that makes the product better is welcomed. I am currently building 3 more boxes. I did not mean to sound as if I was calling you out, I am more than happy to listen and improve.

No worries. I didn't take it that way at all. It looks awesome so far. I was just looking online and ESP makes gun safes and I was surprised to see how simple their locks are.

the one I am using right now is used on tow truck boxes and holds up ok to the weather, is pretty beffy. there are a million options lock wise but few seem sturdy enough that will not interfere much with the contents. that T-handle vending machine lock on post 18 is good but I loose realstate going into the box.

Nice product! PM me when you get it final and scale up production and I will be happy to get your product introduced to the local accessory shops here in the OKC metro area. Maybe you could expand to bed drawers, auxillary battery trays, compressor mounts, cat anti theft plates, skids, and molle panels too. Lots of possibilities for folks with ambition and skills.

Make sure the final design can replace the plastic garbage without leaving any evidence of the upgrade or the need to replace the carpeting.

This is incredible. Can’t wait to see how this progresses with future versions. Always love when someone comes along and can say “I can do this better” and actually pulls it off.
