I'm not pissed off. And I'm also not obligated to help. You've been a mechanic for 20 years bud, you'll figure it out.

Did you pull the fuse box, carefully and patiently, like Shifty suggested? If AM1 is a fuse, in the fuse box, and isn't getting power, then maybe one of the wires feeding the fuse is corroded or chewed through or whatever you could imagine. If nothing else, it will give you an opportunity to rule something out. Or, best case scenario, you find your problem.

    Diagram shows constant power:

    upload_2024-5-24_12-27-29.png

Looks like there is one fuse upstream of AM1, the 120A ALT fuse. Is that fuse working? Same advice from Shifty still applies: if the 120A ALT fuse is in good working order, then maybe the wires feeding it are bad and pulling the fuse box will help you deduce what's going on.

I saw that too but had stopped responding to this thread. Kinda chuckled to myself when I saw it. Looks like OP might have bought this truck and is now in the process of fixing the can of worms.

Nobody on here wants to hear, "this is one of those parts where you really need to use Denso, because store brands not only last 2-5 years max, but plenty are straight-up DOA, or die within weeks".

We have to tell people this regularly. You're one in a dozen or so who've gotten shit parts-store-brand starters and had starting problems recently. They often come up as "truck won't start ... it's so weird, I literally just replaced the starter a few (weeks/months) ago because it wouldn't start ... maybe the starter wasn't the problem!?"

But when you say, "Naw. The starter was likely the problem. The shitty ass store brand part you bought is now the issue", the skepticism is high. Nobody wants to crack open the top end again to do that work, or fork over more money for the Denso/OEM part.

We've seen it. Way too often. I love linking people back to threads like this so they can see we're not full of shit, it's a legitimate problem.

And this is how we arrived at the rule of thumb: If the part takes more than 1-2 hours to replace, and you need to really dig and/or put in extra effort to pull it, always use the OEM brand, never use store brand parts. Your experience is EXACTLY why. OEM lasted 15+ years. It'll last another 15+.
