Thanks everyone. Coulda been worse, coulda been better. It was right on schedule though. As soon as things are going great i find a way to sabotage myself. Now if i can get polo to stop whacking my roadrash with his tail.

BRO, that's not a little bike. That's a full on fucking bike bro. Also I don't really like motorcycles especially sport bikes, but Buells, Buells are cool as shit. I hope you didn't break it too much.

Also I too know all about getting the big greenie weenie up the ass from the universe as soon as everything is going smooth a "normal". Than BAAAAAAAM the fuckening happens!!

It was a wake up for me. I was being stupid and doing stupid stuff.

I don't own a bike anymore, but I still have a jacket and helmet (even though the wife is 100% against me having another one.

I mean if you’re walking a way with only six stitches after dumping your bike while wearing flippity-flops, then it’s definitely still a win. I’m not going to judge you for wearing NGNTT. I think we’ve all been guilty of that at some point (probably many times).

I smooshed the heck out of my foot (i was wearing ATGATT) back in spring of 2019 at a dirtbike race. My heavy ktm 990 Adventure got away from me and fell over and crushed up my foot between the muffler and large rock. 1 surgery, 14 screws, 3 plates, 4 months of casts, a second surgery to remove all the hardware, and i’m up and running again. All told, i was in a significant amount of pain for a full year. As of today, i would consider that my foot is back around 95%. It still hurts every day, but absolutely NOTHING like it did before, so i don’t ever complain about it and i won’t let it slow me down. I can still run and do an asian squat, and those were my only two goals during my rehab.

Yessir, coulda been worse, coulda been better.

my first helmetless crash gave me a fist sized hematoma & broke my skull in a couple spots.

Sorry if I missed it, what fogs are these?
With the headlight mod to the mini projectors, I'm looking for an easy replacement for the fogs. Think I prefer yellow for actual fog...

Just guessing, although I do know pressure in there is not a good thing after an injury, or anytime really.

The screws aren't anything special...like whatsoever. I kid you not, i think the hospital sends out a 1st year orderly student down to the local hardware store and grab whatever screws they can find off the floor and sneak them into their pocket when no one is looking. 7 out of the 14 screws installed were different. Like some were torx, some were allen, half of them different lengths, gauges, and tpi. I'm not a doctor nor a paid actor, but if i installed that kind of hodgepodgery with any of my finish carpentry jobs, i'd likely be fired by the customer...or worst, i'd fire myself.

At least they didn’t break one off and used an EZ-out to extract it.
