So I just got a 24 tundra trd and I just noticed that when I push on the gas the oil pressure gauge goes up is this normal this has never happened to me in any other vehicle at least that I’ve notice

If that has never happened to you before on any other vehicle it is because you never noticed it or the analog/digital gauges just didn't move enough for you to notice.

By design, as RPM increases oil pressure will increase. I'd be very concerned if it didn't.

On some vehicles, the “gauge” is really just a glorified idiot light and will always read the same. My 2018 F150 was like that. Didn’t matter what the engine RPMs were, the digital gauge always read the exact same thing. It was just a pseudo-gauge on the display panel.

My comment stands. If the gauge is not moving, I'd be very concerned. Fix the gauge or the oil pressure.

We’re on the same page here. I don’t dispute that the pressure should increase as RPMs increase. That’s why I have mechanical gauges in my ‘64 Fairlane. If they don’t move, I have a problem. All I’m saying is the people who design user interfaces don’t always feel like it’s necessary to show a change in the display when 99% of the driving population doesn’t understand what it means. They want to see the “gauge” in the middle - a glorified idiot light. That’s how it was in my F150. And you can’t fix it. It’s not a real gauge, just a readout programmed onto a display in the dash. I for one am thankful that with all the other stupid programming choices Toyota engineers made in the user interfaces, they at least got the oil pressure gauge right.

Some gauges “average” the read by slowly responding so the needle doesnt jump around. This one seems quite real-time accurate. Shows high pressures when the oil is cold. And drops as it warms up. Like OP said it follows the rpm too with pressure changes.

The oil pressure does move around a bit, normally I would say it increases as rpm goes up.
In the Tundra it may be more electronically controlled? At higher rpm is seems to increase then back down.
