Do y'all think it's weird than my 06 limited AC came with cloth seats and no fake wood grain?

That's actually not too far out of line price-wise with what I'm seeing from junkyards...:der:

It does seem weird but then I've seen some Limiteds on the marketplace that also don't have the leather and wood.

Considering my truck came from the factory with 60/40 split front seats but ended up being sold with leather buckets, I'd imagine you could special order some of this. Maybe the original owner didn't want the leather and wood either, but otherwise wanted the limited package.

You can make your own wood grain interior if you have a CNC router and 3d scanner at home.

It’s funny, every single time I let my Tundra sit for a bit and then start using it again just to keep it in rotation, I’m impressed.

I kinda feel that about all 3 trucks.
The third gen is smooth to shift and has creature comforts and the big display. the 2nd gen is nimble and light, easy to park and turn. Then the Tundra is just spacious and beefy.

Many of the limited trim FGTundras came with cloth. I’ve always joked that my limited meant limited options. It’s got leather and wood grain center dash and window switch thingys. Oh, and the color keyed fender flares. That’s it. No keyless. No LSD. No Sunroof. No power sliding rear glass. No tow package. No power passenger seat. No climate control. Limited.

'Tis a sad day. I finally had a balljoint bust on me. No pics of the carnage. I have ordered replacement and will get it installed soon. Surprised it took this long to happen to me. She's been a great mower so I'm not mad. :D

    Whoa. That is limited lol
My limited came with LSD, tow pkg, electric driver seat, keyless, power rear sliding glass and heated mirrors and steering wheel radio controls. My only complaints is it didn't come with a power rear view mirror with compass and/or ambient temp

Today, I drove my Tundra like I always have since it was new, pedal to the metal. Okay, so it's carpeted.... But I make the beautiful V-8 roar like it was meant to. Up the mountain, down the canyon, over the mountain. All the local bumpety gravel roads. It'll do Vail Pass at 95 mph, fully loaded.

About 1400 miles last month, now at 252K miles, and figure another 5000 miles by August 1st. I'm trying to wear it out but it's not cooperating.

That's what I did to my Tundra today. Wish I could buy another 2003 just like it. Best Gen.

    not bad.

but now this makes me wonder how i havent died with my mr2 making way more...

i really should dyno my truck. but i need to figure out a solution to the overly rich running the x pipe seems to cause (although its looking more and more like the SAIS bypass is the issue)

Have you tried the VF tuner yet? I got my 06 tuned and I also have long tubes, bypass and x pipe.

There was a perfect one at the junk yard on Saturday on a 2000 AC just like yours in black, I remember it had a red hazard light button. I was going to buy it just to have it. But It was very different set up then my 06 dc.

I wonder if the dealer sells just the front cover/face plate. I’m going to call tomorrow see if there is a part number. Seen this guy do a swap over from a 4wd to a 2wd on a sequoia

VF Tuner isn't the only game in town. Yotaworks LLC, Storm Peacock, and Quantum Auto all offer tunes for our engines. They will work just fine if you don't need to make custom tunes.

VF tune has a 2UZFEVVTI tune pack. Not sure what is included yet. But I've read it at least comes with an 87 and a 93 octane tune maps. They may have more canned tunes as well.

It was my first impression that all the tuners are using VF/OV Tune software and there's a basic tune or two and beyond that it's like open source. I could be wrong though
