I think I might try to sleep as much as possible after this shift. Been crappy sleep the last 3 nights, so one of you better be damn well rested, and the last two days I've been dealing with a headache. Today it's trying to go into migraine territory, and I am not about that. Taking a second round of excedrin soon.

When you are the oldest of 4 boys and grew up on acreage.... Mom & Dad made dam sure we used everything that was grown on 7 acres..

( Remember , I'm a 60's-70's Child , Wooden Spoons & belts were your biggest fear )

Potatoes & corn in the Back 5 while everything else on the smaller 2 ...

Piccalilli from Green & Red tomatoes , stewed vegetables from anything else and nothing to waste... Potatoe boxes has drainage with cheese cloth

to "Perk" AKA ; homemade Vodka, dandelion wine , grape wine and of course Hard cider...

My point.... Todays Kids & young adults CRY and get what ever flavor they desire.... The 60's & 70's MADE Life Good...

Maverick takes Trazadone if the weather is really bad or the fireworks are out, usually 1 1/2 tablets.
He also has to take that and Gabbapentin to go to the vet..
Takes the night before and then a couple of hours before the appointment,
But it works, it makes him much less nervous.

He also takes Apoquel daily for allergies, scratching and licking.
It's $85 a month..

Mav has a thundershirt.
He seems to like it, it is somewhat comforting to him.

We got Milo a surgery recovery suit when we got him nutured.
Much better than a cone around his neck.
It would probably do the same thing if it fit snug enough.

Connie & I have always taken care of our yards BUT since moving here the lawn care ; mowing , trimming and weed whacking are paid..

The entire year cost less than a mower and my labor is not involved ..

We do the flower beds and I take care of my own watering system BUT that is all "Gear head" stuff to "Tinker with"...

HOA comes around twice a year BUT I make sure the ClubCar is "Flying Colors" and we haven't been bothered yet..

 

Our guy is Milo and he takes Apoquel daily for allergies. He built up a tolerance to Gaba while waiting for leg surgery. He gets trazodone before long car rides, haircuts and vet visits; sometimes it works and sometimes it does nothing.

 

I'm only 42 so I've got some time, I'm just ready for retirement already
