Just got back my 2023 tundra TRD Off-Road today. The setup is 6 inch Superlift K-1026, factory TRD 20x8 wheels with 37x12.50r20 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. I used 1.5 inch wheel spacers to achieve the proper offset. Factory offset is +55 and the offset is now +17. Superlift suggests +18 to +20 offset.

The tires are great! Non-existent "droning" when at higher speeds. The tires are quiet and amazingly smooth. Ride quality has NOT been sacrificed.

Your grandmother will no longer be able to ride with you unless you forklift her into the cab. It is higher than expected, but in a good way! Without side bars, you'll struggle yourself. I would consider them a must if you want to be comfy every time you get in or out of the truck.

Engine, turbos and transmission seem to be in no strain at all. A gear change isn't available yet (to my knowledge), but I really don't think you'd need it anyway. Perhaps it would work better if you did a lot of towing.

Speedometer, again not to my knowledge can be calibrated yet, but at 50 mph your actual is 55. This was checked via GPS.

Trimming the tire wells is definitely necessary, which I knew going in to this. There is no tire rubbing in any situation or attitude of the wheels.

In short, I LOVE this look and setup. If anyone has any questions or concerns about this lift, required wheels, tires, offsets or anything else, I will be happy to oblige with answers if I know the answer.

It must be the photo. I hate trucks that are higher in the front. That is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. We have actually banned that in NC. It is illegal to do. In dome places, they are actually impounding vehicles that have that done! They should! It is impossible to see out of the windshield properly!

They are factory Toyota steps. I bought a cheaper pair to install, but the mounts didn't even line up! They also looked terrible. I love these steps. Toyota (and everyone else, for that matter) has lost their minds on price, but they were a breeze to install - maybe 20 minutes. My experience tells me that these are the way to go, but the price is terrible. They absolutely look and install perfectly though. The truck had no steps when I bought it, but even stock, it needed something for older people.

That sucks that the other ones didn't line up. The ones you have look great and are very low profile which I definitely like. My 1794 came with tube steps that were silver... I took them off the day after I bought the truck! LOL

@WhiteDevil1978 This looks great! I've been going back and forth on whether or not I want to go 35s or 37s once I'm able to get a bit of lift. Honestly, I really like the proportions of this. I feel like 35s on the 20s I would just want a little more sidewall, but this looks pretty nice.

I've also been toying with the ideas of doing spacers to help the stance (do I go 1" or 1.5"??) it's nice to see this build and definitely makes me less wary of going with 1.5.

The only thing I need to figure out now is, do I want to take the MPG hit of 37s since I have the small fuel tank...:monocle:

I have read about a lot of buyer's remorse with 35's. That is what solidified my choice for 37's. I also agree with the people who have the buyer's remorse..... 35's just look disproportionately small on that setup. It's all about preference though. As far as the spacers go, you MUST use 1.5 spacers if you go with the OEM wheels and the Superlift kit. 1 inch won't give proper clearance. If your wheels are aftermarket, that changes though. It all comes down to offset. You have to have an offset of +20 or less on 20x8 wheels.

I haven't ran a mpg test yet. The computer is nowhere close to accurate anymore. The speedometer is also off. If it says you are doing 50, you are doing 55. The faster you go, the bigger the gap. This also kills the mpg computer. The revolutions per mile is WAY less on 37s than the OEM 32 inch wheels. You are traveling far further than the truck thinks it's gone. The only way to get it right is to fill up, run it near dry, fill it back up and calculate the math. I'm in the middle of doing that now and will let you know what the deal is.

I know nothing and looking for advice please. 2022 sr5 sport. Keeping my TRD 20” wheels. Have the westcott kit coming soon. they recommend a 295/65-20 with no problems. My issue is gooodyear only makes the boulder in that size ( mud tire-aggresive). The duratrac comes in a 35/12.50-20. Was told with that tire spacers would be needed. Want to stick with Goodyear due to rebates/discount of $490. Anyone know what size spacer and any other mods? No mud flaps on the truck. Or a pic? Been threw a ton of posts.

Looks great! Good job. I didn't know Superlift did stuff for Tundras as my only experience with their lifts came with a couple I installed in mid-70 model Fords. They make solid products for that sector I know.

That's good to keep in mind as well. As I'm planning out Suspension/Wheels/Tires, for me the ideal setup would be probably about a 3" lift and 37s; to me, that looks so good. I also eventually want to go with like a 17 or 18 inch wheel, but I can't foot that bill all at once, so I'm going to have to make incremental steps to get to the end result I want. I feel like the TRD 20"s look great with 37s though!

I know I'll need to do CVs and UCAs and a panhard correction along with the lift. Trying to decide if it makes more sense to do the Westcott TRD lift, the full OEM TRD lift, or do like a Dobinsons with the additional components I need to correct geometry. I really like the look of 37s, but I also know it takes a little bit of work to clear them on the 3"-ish lift. from the research I've done 35s are plug and play with a 2-3" lift as long as you have the right wheel setup.

Knowing that the 1.5" gets you to about a +17 offset, is good to know as well. I feel like that's in the sweet spot for the 3rd gens.

Nah, 35/12.5-20 will be fine for me. Doing duratracs. Love those tires. Wear great / low noise and last. Ran them on my last two trucks and got 50/60k from them. But don’t off road mostly street and beach and a 2 mile road to hunting camp. lol.

I highly recommend looking at Westcott's page concerning your specific lift. If you do not find out the requirements from there, you need to call them. Each lift kit is different and have specific requirements concerning your equipment. All of my information on what was required for my lift was taken from Superlift's website.

How high of a lift are you going with? With a 3 inch or so lift, 35's will look good, but with a 6 inch lift they look abnormally small. I've seen a few complaints of people who did it, along with photos. I agree with them in that it just looks out of place. A 3 inch lift and 35's requires no trimming on your vehicle, but even with 37's and a 6 inch lift, trimming is relatively minimal. The guy who installed the lift is an absolute genius in his field, and he made it look perfect. Not sure what it would look like had I tried it. Lol

Anyway, find out specifically what the requirements for that Westcott lift are. You will need to know offset. Your wheels are a +55 offset from the factory, if you have the same wheels I do. (They are 20 inch TRD wheels). Wheel size is also important on lifts. The Superlift K1026 kit I used requires at very least 20 inch wheels and an offset of +20 or lower (closer to zero). The bigger the spacer, the closer it will take you to zero. Some people like the "skated" look, that is, the wheels to stick out further. Personally, I don't like it, so I went with the minimal size of wheel spacers, which was 1.5 inches. Also, DO NOT let them tell you a 12.5 inch wide tire will not fit on that wheel (it is a 20x8 wheel). It does fit, and I ride around on it every day.

Look and ask around at how many PSI you should run. I used Nitto Ridge Grapplers, which I absolutely LOVE. They still have the aggressive look, but there is ZERO "humming" that pretty much all true off-road/mud tires give. That noise sounds cool at first, but eventually it'll annoy the hell out of you. It did me, anyway. Back to PSI in tires, I wouldn't just put in the max PSI. Again, ask around. Someone will have your setup and can give you a real world answer based on experience. The guy who installed my lift recommended only 40 PSI in all tires, which is what I saw other people saying they used with my setup. It just works. Those Nitto Ridge Grapplers are also 10 ply tires though. It's not easy to flex the sidewall of a 10 ply tire, so you can run lower PSI.

Shoot some pics when you get it done! If you have any other questions, I'm happy to help where I can!

You may not can use anything less than 20 inch wheels. For my specific lift, 20 inch or greater is an absolute requirement. I saw it confirmed from a video on YouTube. With whatever lift you choose, get in touch with the manufacturer by any means possible and specifically ask that question. On Superlift's site, it says "Requires 20 wheels and up", but it isn't exactly in bold print. It is, however, an absolute necessity, no matter WHAT the offset is!

I'm not not sure I understand the question. The best I've got is that Toyota makes 3 versions of "TRD" Tundras. The "Sport", as your profile says you have, the "Off-Road" version and the "Pro" version. The Off-Road and Pro versions have a beefier suspension, with the Pro being the best. If I'm not mistaken, you have 1.1 shocks on the Sport, the Off-Road has Bilstein 1.8 shocks and the Pro has Fox 2.5 shocks. There are all kinds of other differences in the them, such as package options. I don't think the Sport is available with Crawl Control and a few other features. The Sport version is marketed more towards people who don't plan on leaving the pavement often, with the TRD Off-Road and Pro geared more towards off road performance. The Sport sits lower than the other two. The Pro version is by far the most expensive, and unless you plan on leaving the suspension alone, in my opinion not worth the extra $20k. Most of us who plan on making modifications geared towards off roading will probably lean towards the TRD Off-Road version.

I think maybe he’s asking “how does it handle off road?”

Sorry, as the poster after me replied, I was more curious as to how the lift and gear handle off road. The few times I have messed with my suspension in the past (not yet on this sport) it's made a big difference. Once with a fast car, not so good for daily around where I live and I returned it to stock. A few times on trucks though it made things nice and plush off road while stiffening (in a good way) on road. So I was just curious how you like the ride compared to stock and if you've noticed a big difference, or its kept the same character as stock, but with better clearance. Enjoy the Memorial weekend.

6 inch lift, 37 inch tires, Badlands Apex 12,000 lb winch, Fab Fours concealed winch mount with 30 inch LED, Prinsu roof rack with RC 40 inch LED and 10 inch RC LED's on sides, Auxbeam 12 switch controller, Heretic ditch lights, RetraxPro XR bed cover, Elevate bed crossbars with additional bar that connects them, Pedal Commander throttle control, overlanding solar array (2) LiTime 230ah batteries, Renogy 40 amp DC to DC charger, LiTime 60 amp MPPT, LiTime 40 amp LiFePO4 AC to DC charger, Renogy 400 watt suitcase panels
The ride quality is basically unchanged! It surprised me actually. The guy who installed my lift said that the Nitto Ridge Grapplers are largely the reason that the ride on road still feels good. He also said that Superlift lifts are top notch, so this could be helping as well. The only thing I'm sure of is I really like the results of all the components paired together. Having a 6 inch lift and 37 inch wheels coupled with still having excellent comfort on paved roads too is a bit like having your cake and eating it too.
