After you did such a beautiful job with those open barrel splices (those fucking things are the bane of my existence), how dare you use T-taps

 

Welp, the timer/relay setup worked well to keep the center console outlet on after accessory power was off, which was just a secondary goal for this project. I was hoping that the stupid ass Alpine remote knob just needed to turn off gracefully to stay paired, but nope. I removed both the timer stuff and the knob for now while I decide what I’m doing with them. I’m thinking the timer/relay will get repurposed for a nanny disabler (maybe a plug-n-play option if I get some plugs from @RainMan_PNW soon) and the knob will go in the trash where it belongs.

I haven’t decided if I’m fully giving up on it yet, but if I do, it’s yours. I’ve got a couple ideas floating around.

 

Do they offer a wired version? I haven’t come across one

 

Nope. It’s really just a horrible implementation. It could be so good really easily.
