Just wanted to follow up with feedback on the entire process of purchasing a Toyota VSA (extended warranty). Around the first of this month, I reached out to both Jerry and Troy at FD-Warranty.com. I understand that Jerry is very busy and have nothing negative to say about him. However, I did not get a response from him. I could have easily followed up but Troy responded to me so quickly that there was no need. The entire transaction with Troy was seamless and without issue. I received the application documents and receipt from Troy over a week ago. Today, in the mail, I received my TFS VSA agreement direct from Toyota. I ended up with a 6 year, 125,000 mile, $0 deductible Platinum warranty for a very reasonable price and without any headaches or problems. I even called TFS direct to confirm status/activation and all is good to go!

While there is already plenty of praise for Jerry, I wanted to add Troy to the list of our resources for reliable Toyota extended warranty suppliers. YMMV but I will definitely use Troy in the future if needed.

 

Can someone please PM me pricing and info, I should be buying my truck any day now as it arrived via rail on Monday and currently sits waiting to be transferred to the dealer. I really want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row, appreciate everyone, thanks in advance!!!

 

Glad you got some reasonable coverage. Use either one. I had delayed response from FD-Warranty and issues with their web form, but they did respond, just after I already purchased.

Hello! Just recently bought a new Tundra and would be interested in pricing info as well.

 

I bought a 2024 tundra limited TRD package on March 2024. I called Mercury insurance for the extended warranty. It costed me $765 dollars with $100 dollars deductible. Coverage is 7 years or 100k miles. The dealer is a scam.

For those interested in a Toyota extended warranty, i.e. plan types and pricing, you will need to reach out to a dealer to obtain that information. You will need to provide a certain level of vehicle details such that a plan specific to your vehicle can be offered. Two such contacts that many here have used are:

VIN, Year, make, model, two or four wheel drive, hybrid or non- hybrid, mileage, your name, address, phone number and email.

You can also contact another source at FD-Warranty.com which will ask you to submit a form.

 

I got quoted the extended warranty when I bought my truck two weeks ago. Was told that if I wait more than a month the next quote would be at used car pricing instead of new car pricing. Is that BS?

 

For new vehicles, you can add it any time before the initial factory warranty ends…

 

You could try FD-Warranty. I skipped out on even reaching out to Jerry since I heard he can be hard to get ahold of at time. I send a request to Troy and had my warranty purchased the same day. Also heard that both Jerry and Troy are the exact same price from what I read here. Can’t confirm 100% but the price I paid for my 8 year/100k mile warranty was crazy cheap. Even compared to the dealer who I bought my truck at that actually already had discounted warranties.

Based and the quote I got from the dealer and what I've read here I can probably save around $1K by going with Jerry.

 

i asked Jerry about the benefit of purchasing now or later. His answer was no benefit to waiting. Go ahead and get it out of the way, so I would not forget later and miss out. I took that to mean no price increase for delay, unless Toyota raises the prices later.

??? presume the web noted lists all the warranty options available? I hate shopping for toasters so this could be a long process.

 

I found filling out the above mentioned required information for Jerry, I was called the day two I think it was. His calling from Kansas, so keep that in mind when screening calls.

 

I received a quote from Troy at FD-Warranty.com and will be purchasing through him. Are he and Jerry working for the same place? Haven't been able to contact Jerry. BTW, I can't believe the difference in pricing between FD-W and several dealers in my area.

 

No. Two different dealerships.

 

If I recall correctly, once you fill out the form for FD-Warranty.com, Troy will respond with a quote. If you inquired with Jerry, he will respond with the list and you can choose. Either way, it’s painless once you interact with them. You should have an idea of how long you want, though, as a good starting point.

 

Yes. Troy was quick to respond, and based on his pricing, I am going with the 10Y/100K Plat. I was hoping to see what Jerry had before pulling the trigger.

 

No idea who Troy is but Jerry is rock solid. I got mine 10 Years /125K miles from him.
