Brakes are good. Should have taken it for a proper test drive before posting, probably. They didn't feel quite right sitting in park, but out & about today they're back to normal. The reason I wasn't convinced it was air getting sucked in the vacuum pump was that for the other three tires, I got clear fluid. I went through every tire three times total, and it was always only the driver front with all the bubbles. And when I removed the tube from all the valves, including the driver front, I'd get a huge vacuum release. But clearly for some reason I was sucking some air on that one bleeder valve.

Anyway now everything's back to normal (except for somehow inflaming my forearm working that vacuum pump), and shifty` can't call my brake fluid 'gnarly' anymore :)

I’ve never done brakes before, but I found the positive pressure setup for bleeding to be pretty awesome! I’m usually a one man band so it made it super easy!

I bought this years ago and for how often I use it, it serves me well. But it's all I've ever used so I have nothing to compare it to.

Turns out getting the Tacoma ready for selling will be some work. And this is before it goes to a mechanic for a complete check-over.

Was under it yesterday (did a brake flush on both the Tundra and the Tacoma), and noticed the drive side blinker wires had sheared off. Again. So a new plug & wires are on their way. Can't sell a truck without a front blinker. Decided to lube the driveshaft, and when I hooked up to the slip yoke zerk & started pumping, grease just came falling out the bottom. Apparently the slip yoke 'grease plug' came off at some point. Might explain the subtle thump I feel when I shift...which is why I decided to lube it specifically in the first place. So for now my project list is all on the Tacoma again for a while. Plan to test my new drill bits and extractors on its broken skid plates bolts to see if I have more luck broken bolt extracting than I have in the past. All those little minor annoyances likely add up when someone's looking at it.

Good news, everyone! I believe I have found the culprit to my 12v clusterfuck.

After more terminal cleaning and re-grounding (to my entire truck, I think), the reason my taillights are not responding is...the metal coupler, on the OEM 4 way... does NOT exist!

I think it came off during God-knows-when, but we should be G2G once I replace the connector entirely.

Speakin of batteries. I moved a ceiling fan that has a remote and no pullchain for the light or fan to another room in my crib a while back. Dam thing decided to only work on high speed with the light on and nothing else. I finally last night took the cover off and removed the remote receiver since the remote showed a good link, blinking and everything but just not working. I figured I was going to have to replace either the receiver unit, the capacitor, or just scrap the entire fan altogether. I had already tried multiple times to re-pair the remote to it with its little learn button. Popped the cover with the capacitor and receiver back on the fan and still no go. Dammit. I just so happen to have another remote that I use for several bulb sockets to remotely turn them on and off and that uses the same battery so I decided to swap them out. I pressed the learn button again and in about 2 seconds I had a fully working ceiling fan again. Nice! Lesson learned. Even though the remote light is bliking, the battery may be too low to actually work the device its intended for.

I got similar numbers on my truck when i Dynoed her, with just AFE intake and URD MAF tune. Now I have an R0K tune, JBA long tubes and DD Race exhaust and 12 hole injectors. I really need a VF tuner, but thier website showed zero tunes available for the VVTi 2UZ

Yes and it was very low. I think the truck was in limp mode or something because it read like 202 WHP and 240TQ. I posted here like 2 years ago. plus my 2nd run on a different Dyno which reads higher. Final numbers were 268 WHP.

    Ok thanks.

Just curious because thus far I've only read opinions on how it felt before and after as to whether the 12 hole's helped

Some said they could feel it, others said not so sure.

That quoted Dyno chart makes no sense to me. Why is it in MPH and not RPM?

Love to see real world Dyno with bolt ons and tune that show 40+hp gain at the wheels.

I felt them for sure, but thats just butt Dyno. they are very responsive but Keith himself told me that there wont be much gains or any at all on Dyno.
