I like the wheels the way they are, but wouldn't mind something to make them more unique.

Gunmetal Gray would be a bonus! What else looks good on SSM? (Don't want Black)

If you PC them, what do you do with the center caps... leave 'em Black for contrast? Try to paint match?

    Whatch'ya got?

No but I ordered them OEM from Toyota in Black. For the 19 Sport I used to own.

But yes there have been rims/wheels sent off to paint.

I had my OR wheels powdercoated a couple of years ago. I wanted a satin black, but I feel like they came out more 'matte'. I'm happy with them though and the finish seems to be really durable. I sprayed the center caps with a Duplicolor rattle can. Took a couple of tries to get a close match. Not perfect, but very close. Also ordered some TRD decals for the center caps from some guy in Ukraine which are holding up really well.
IMO, black wheels/accents look great against the Silver Sky, but gunmetal probably would as well if that's your preference.

Yup. As far as mods go, this is still probably one of my favorites.

That looks really good. I agree with you about the black on silver, and I do like some black on wheels, I just find that I personally don't usually love solid black wheels.
Black and machined usually appeals to me more.

Hope y'all don't mind if I resurrect this thread. :)

I've been eyeballing these rims on eBay for months. I have a set of old TRD OR rims I could get powder coated locally. How do you think these rims would look on this truck?

And should they be black, or gunmetal? Gloss or satin?

I think these members have a pretty good answer to that question.

I dunno. I hope not, actually. The post says those are black rims, but they don't look black, or gunmetal either really. Trick of the light or the camera or the computer monitor, I guess.

I stopped into a custom wheels shop yesterday. The guy recommended gloss black to match the center caps, but also said gunmetal "would look badass". I find it hard to get excited about painting the plastic center caps, though.

$1200 total to get the job done in gloss black. I'm not super excited about that either.
