We have a couple of double cabs for our work trucks. Yesterday we got hit with a pretty hard storm and now one of my trucks is reporting these two warnings with white smoke coming out of the exhaust. I’ll get the codes pulled but was hoping some of you tundra gurus might have some ideas of things I could check before dumping it off at the shop

Sounds like you have snow in the grill and road crap in the rear connector . I’d be more worried about your low voltage and oil pressure bahahahahah !

    You guys are funny :)

    That’s definitely not a 2017.

I apologize ,, it’s 6pm here and I got off early . Few drinks and I was thinkin it was a bait for “ least of worries post lol “.

Clean grill sensors and in front of rear view mirror . These sensors are annoying af . You can also set up so the park brake so it doesn’t engage every time you put the truck into park . That stuff is going to wear out quick imo for work trucks . That’s my 23 8ft box . Great truck so far and tows without issue .

Yeah my guess might have been off. My shop manager sent me these and you’re right they’re probably 2019s or 20s. I need to get my eyes on it

You have aftermarket air filter? I had a cone filter and when it came loose or off some my dash would light up just like that. Might want to check your maf sensor and air box etc. I never got smoke but if your blowing smoke then thats some serious issues like maybe a blown gasket

White smoke is hopefully just moisture in the exhaust. The warnings usually mean the front sensor is dirty and the trailer plug has dirt/crap in it.

Seems like you were dead on, cleaned the connectors and no more warning lights. Appreciate the help!!

    Bone stock... for now
These 2 exact same warnings come up on mine when im ripping it on the beach in 4x4. When i get back on pavement and spray her off, they go away next time i start it. I think its just dirty sensors/ computer freaking out. Never had an issue.

I'm experiencing the same thing. Just to clarify, when you say front sensor, are you talking about the unit mounted in the grill? In my case this would be the Toyota logo on my 21 TRD Sport.
