yeah, we're thinking about just going with 0 degree down bags. I'll have to get into REI to see what they have.

Even though REI is expensive it’s an investment as their stuff just lasts. I know they used to have a lifetime warranty on their branded stuff. Not sure if they still do it.

 

I bought an $80 cabela's flannel sleeping bag that's pretty warm and when I'm camping in the really cold temps, I out my mummy bag inside the cabalas bag. Works great!

No snow down here in the Springs, stupid high winds though. My house has been shaking from all the gusts for the past three days straight

 

Call it closer to 8" at this point. Winds have been strong as well

 

I actually rather like it. Just more water in the river. My wife however, she's in despair.

 

We've been taunted by recent nice weather, I'm missing that. I'm done with winter for the season. Lol

 

at this point i'm happy for more skiing but also sad because hiking/biking, offroading, and camping trails staying snowy

Nah. We usually have an amazing fall and this is fairly typical for May. We usually get 1-2 good dumps in May but they melt off pretty quickly as far as yards and streets go. Just got home from picking up the kids from school and the mains roads where only wet with no stocking snow. And like @Wynnded said we've already had some warm spring days on the bikes at the lower elevation trails.

 

Did you get all those skids on yet?

 

skids and sliders (minus the pesky bolt behind the fuel tank, that's for later) installed solo over the weekend!! just bumper (with accessories) and suspension left...the fun stuff

yeah that wind was for real.

 

Front or rear bumper? The tow package is a fun one for the rear.

i don't tow and don't care about the sensors

 

recently drove to and back from Mesquite Nevada. Saw no less than ten (10) wrecked/burned out big rigs for the duration. The most I have even seen and the roads were clear and dry. Something is seriously wrong with the Trucking industry.

 

In case you didn't see; They found the lost hiker from longs peak. Preliminary reports are suggesting he fell off to His death and was recovered on mills glacier. Be careful out there folks.

 

I feel for his family. Glad they found him though, living with that agony must be terrible.

 

Sad for sure. When I saw the report that he was missing after peaking, this ending comes as no surprise. Too early in the year to attempt anything. Afternoon storms up there bring high winds and temperature drops like a rock. Going it alone was not wise.

 

Lol, this guy gets posted on Colorado Tundras FB Group all the time. I don't think he's involved with the Tundra community, but he sure knows how to draw some attention
