Purchased Anderson windows through Home Depot today.

I went in yesterday and they busted out the quote and gave me a contact to call. He was available today, came out and discussed options on what works in Colorado...and what doesn't. Wood is probably not a good idea no matter what the warranty is. Composite, fiberglass, or vinyl is what will last.

With the warranty of Anderson (25 years) and HD even one ups that with lifetime transferable.

Just to be transparent, these cost 30675.00 after tax and install. I had Renewal by Anderson come out and quote the same damn windows for 96k. So far, Home Depot has rocked my home repair needs. Very happy customer.

Instead of taking two weeks for this job, he said 24 windows will take 2-3 days.

I also changed up a lot of the windows from casement to picture (less chances of seals leaking) and on the double casements I split them up to partial picture and the other side casement.

Ordered Low E window treatment to keep sun heat out and noise reduction.

Yeah, I saw your comment on how cheap Home Depot was in comparison.... I got a long project list for this place. I have window dressing on the inside and can say its about a 5 to 10 degree difference.

Damn. Now I really don’t want to think about replacing my windows. My new front door slab, decorative door lite glass and new side lite glass should arrive tomorrow (or I guess that would be later today) all because I was supposed to repaint the damn door. And that was expensive enough.

Especially after buying a truck today. :anonymous:

The doors are next. Best price I have seen in a front door is 10,000.00. Highest was a tad over 30,000.00.

New truck? What did you purchase?

I went a lot cheaper than that. Since our existing wood jamb and steel side light panels are in decent condition other than needing a fresh coat of paint (Door is inset from the weather), that’s all staying. The glass will be new, and the door slab is a steel door with 3/4 lite glass, and that glass was the single most expensive part. Still only going to be about $2K Canuck not including the slave labour. I should do before and after pics

I bought a Ford diesel. Well, I placed a deposit on it, signed some papers. Still have to dig through the swear jar to find enough to pay the balance when I pick it up next week.

No, the Tundra isn’t leaving. After many years of working for others, I’ve decided to start my own mobile repair business. Exciting, and terrifying.

We could have went a lot cheaper as well (almost half). I was happy with the cost...primarily due to not spending 96-125K. That was mind boggling to me.

Wow. Congratulations on working for yourself! That is a huge achievement and I know you will do well. I've learned a metric buttload (see what I did there?) from you over the years. I'm assuming you purchased the F-450?

Let me know if you want to be added to the Heavy Duty truck PM we have going. You would be a welcomed source on those topics.

2011 F550. :benchpress:6.7L auto, 4x4. It’s got plenty of miles and hours on it, but the service body with tons of drawer packs, 5,000 lb crane, and v-mac compressor is what convinced me to buy a Ford when I never expected to. At least I’ll have tools onboard, right?

Not sure on the PM thing, let me think on it. My life is about to get very busy for some reason. :rofl:Thanks for the encouraging words though.
