My 2008 tundra revs up when accelerating while making a turn. Any ideas?

Low transmission fluid maybe? Feel like the transmission is slipping?

I suspect that it's probably a 2-1-2 down/upshift, particularly when things aren't warmed up yet. The transmission has a different shift schedule when it's not up to operating temperature.

Well I mean that the rpm's increase to a greater proportion than the acceleration would suggest. Feels like clutch is slipping.

The power steering has a pressure sensor to raise rpm under higher pressure, if it only happens while turning, might be good place to start.

Watch the car care nut video on Youtube for a lesson on checking the fluid if you need a little help on checking the fluid level. Check your cooler lines and and rear seal at driveshaft for signs of leakage.

So I guess this is normal? Anyhow I'll check my fluid.

Depending on how long you have had and been driving your truck you might or might not know normal. I have never used it before, but some folks swear by Lubeguard bottled additive for treating slipping. Good luck!
