glad to hear you got it sorted, and they gave you a solution.
oddly though that cable looks the same as the one you got on ebay, but hey if it works that's a win.

Have you gotten the rear camera issue working? I've just installed the CB047-X canbus, fixed my sound issues and the external amp, but lost the reverse camera. I'm in the do si do with support, video the connections blah blah and just need to figure it out myself.

Yep. Looked just like it. One worked and one didn't. Coulda been a manufacturing defect. Idk and idc. Glad I'm moving in from this one. Thank for all your help!!

Whatta PITA. Not sure of the rig u have. Got the impression that the canbus is specific to a narrow range of sequoias. Are u shore the trigger wire is fully connected?

I have a '21 Tundra SR5, has the separate amp. I have the G12 with the latest updates, and the first go at it gave me front tweeter/center sound only, no doors. They sent me the 47-X harness, got sound, lost video on reverse. it's not triggering because I retain sound output when in revers where before, it pauses. Screen never changes.

I got my G12 unit installed yesterday. Instructions were a bit vague, but once I figured a few things out the rest came easier. I think if I didn't have the experience of installing my tesla unit a few years back this would have been much harder.

    Two questions:
    - Any of you audio heads know an optimal equalizer setting I can copy?
    - Is there a way to change the bottom button color from blue? Blue is the worst color for clarity at night. I found ways via Google to do this on previous units, but not this one.

    Thanks!

I'm not a picky person when it comes to audio, but to me, the sound is a bit lackluster. Hence why I was looking for ideal EQ settings. IMO, the Tesla unit put out slightly better sound than this one.

Are you talking about via the menu? I haven't checked that out yet. There is a small reset hole you can stick a paper clip end into to reboot.

Thanks I forgot about the pin.
Here's what I'm getting with the modded revanced app, either crashing or purple video. wondering if anyone else got it revanced going? I'm not sure what's breaking the app. Modded YouTube is awesome on all my other android devices , screen off, steering wheel controls work your playlists , no ads!
No fault of the head unit as this is a mod but just wondering if anyone got it going. Thanks

According to Dasaita the head unit body model HA22-something of that matter, where it's the head unit that has touch key pads on the bottom can not be changed. Internally it is only the blue diode light. They said they'll try to change it in their next head unit in mind after their G12.

I'm trying to move away from the G12 GPS antenna and just use my OEM (2021) but that is proving to be a bigger challenge than I thought. It's unclear as to what the connectors are on the truck side, I've gone through 2 cables so far and connecting to the G12 no issue, but what is the connector for the truck side? I don't want to go through the trouble of running the wiring for this cheapo unit that came with the G12 and want to just use the factory antenna assuming it's more robust.

I have a 2012 Platinum and been looking to upgrade the head unit. I was almost sold on the Alpine ilx-407, but I've been seeing alot of these Dasaita units being installed. What is the quality? can you use the OE mic in the over head console for the head unit too? and the factory XM antenna? How is the sound quality?
    Thank you in advance.

I've had mine in for a few weeks now. I like it as it was a HUGE upgrade over the Tesla unit I had in there before.
    • Sound quality is bland and I'm not picky when it comes to audio. I feel like I haven't properly adjusted settings yet though.
    • I don't think you can use the OE mic. It has a mic built into the front of the unit, and they also provide an option for an external mic. I use the built-in and there have been zero complaints about call quality with anyone one I've talked to so far.

    Yes, that's exactly what I put into my 2017 SR5 non-JBL.

I haven't tried any additional apps yet so can't speak to that.

So if I wanted to just eliminate the app, there are connectors that fit these two adapters on each side of the amp, and then splice the wires together? (Sorry if this is super obvious. I haven't actually looked at the amp yet).

Yup, that's the deal. That being said, careful eliminating the amp, some headunits can't handle the continuous power output that the amp can, and they end up burning out early in life. I ended up reinstalling an amp, even if just the OEM, and will upgrade that with a 5-channel and small sub behind the rear seat someday.

Thanks! So you put the OEM amp back in? Did you burn up your Dasaita?

Edit: what the heck is the stock non-jbl amp? I mean, is it an amp? What's it's power output?

It did burn out my Dasaita I suspect, because it only lasted 11 months. I got the biggest middle finger from Amazon about it too. They treat the reseller there like a vendor and your money is as good as gone, because Dasaita won't warranty support the reseller there either.

I don't know the specs on the power output but it definitely does a job. But an OEM indeed went right back in when I installed my Kenwood DMX1037S.

Dealing with a similar issue on my Dasaita. At 9 months of ownership, only driven and used about 3K miles as I don't drive the truck everyday. Intermittent issues with the screen not powering on, then very sporadic connection to apple car play, to the point that it was more miss than hit. I've submitted emails to Dasaita, messaged through Amazon and now just posted to their forum.

I hate to pony up the funds for a Kenwood or Alpine, but seems like that's the best option. The Alpine package from Trail Pro looks pretty enticing.

Did a search of this thread and didnt see any posts !

Any of you have issues with the Dasaita unit overheating?

My newly used Tesla style unit may have permanently bit the dust after it locked up last week, from what i believe to be caused
by overheating. Came out of work and the unit powered up like normal then before i could drive off, the screen randomly
changed on its own and now its stuck on one screen.

Been looking at the Dasaita G12 unit and I was curious about the overheating because the Tesla unit doesnt have a fan
to circulate some air and i didnt see a fan on the G12. The stock panasonic unit has a fan and ive never had any issues with it.

Im in Ohio and it does get hot, especially this week, lol... I would think a fan would do wonders for these android units.

I like that unit, plus it has a cooling fan to boot.

Let us know how your install went.

Can you give us a link - their website is not very user friendly.

I tried searching this thread and didn't really see an answer.

My 2016 Tundra SR5 will be getting either Dasaita or Mekede upgrade. Would my truck require a canbus or is that just for Sequoia?

If it does require one, do you think the Mekede and Dasaita would use the same canbus?

You will need a canbus. I just finished putting in a mekede with my Tundra. It's been a small adventure. They will send you one with the wiring harness when you order it. The one they sent me didn't work with my 2020 platinum with JBL. I had ended up using one from another harness I bought and have a third one on order. Also you will most likely need a mounting baffle for the mekede as there is not an easy way to mount it to the factory brackets or an aftermarket mounting kit. I am planning on creating a seperate thread on it about my experience once done with everything.

Not sure what your time frame is, but if it's soon, I can't recommend the Mekede at this time if you want a quick and easy plug and play installation. I do think it's a fantastic unit and has great specs...and is testing well...but getting the installation all sorted has been challenging.

Ok. Thanks for that info, especially the mounting.

How are all your steering wheel controls?
    Does everything work like before?

How's the sound? Android Auto/Car play wireless?

I like the Mekede because of the cooling fan, but not keen on no mounting bracket.

That might sway me to Dasaita...
