Sounds like you need bumpers, a winch, and some super swampers

Changed the oil on the new Death Sled. Both of the drain bolts were stupid tight. I was putting pressure on to break one loose, and when it did I headbutted the crash bar. Rang my bell pretty good and started bleeding. Pic is after several hours to scab up. It has a pulse.

I wouldn't know. I've taken plenty of hits to the head, got concussed, etc., but never split my brow before.

I like where your head is at, but my issue with winch bumpers is that in all the times I've ever been stuck in my life I have never wanted to keep going forward. Like the time that I posted pictures of a ways back, I would have wanted to just winch out of the hitch and go back the way I came

The bolt that connects the hard line to a stand-off next to the alternator. I tested the bolt before installing and it started pretty easy, but I didn’t thread it all the way thru. Had a voice in the back of my head telling me to run a 9mm bore brush thru it but I couldn’t figure out how to secure it with a handle and not get it stuck.

Got my 3/8 impact wrench in there and nothing… frozen solid.

The kit is pretty solid all things considered. This is what happens with a truck has 4+ years of grime and crap on the underside.

So now I have the hard lines stuffed under the truck and I need to find a mechanic to bust the bolt loose. Fucking awesome.

Is it drivable like it is? Drip some brake fluid on it and let it soak in for a day, then stick the impact driver back on it. At least the bolt head hasn't sheared off. yet.

My entire head is grey has been since my 30s.
It's the sporadic eyebrows that get on my nerves.
I used to cut them out but I gave up..
Eventually, they will all be gray as well....

I always carried this in the "Taco's tool box".....and for good reason... ;)

D-ring in the receiver to pull back onto the trail or a straight pull back out of trouble....o_O

Might not be the fastest way and it is ALL mechanical BUT with tree savers & a strap most everything can be "Saved"..:thumbsup:mechanical winch.jpg

Don't mind the Air horn taking up space beside it....Project way own the road...:D:D

I actually wish it would have sheered off. I could then get the pipes out.

It is drivable now. I got the 2nd bolt installed and tight, so it will hold until I can get it removed.

I sprayed the end with WD-40 and let it soak for about an hour before I hit it with my impact wrench. Nothing.

Wd40 is a poor lubricant. It is less useful the longer it sits, so something like PB Blaster would likely work better if your letting it sit before applying force.

Unless it wasn't normal wd40, as the brand does have some lubricants as well.

I know, not much help now, but hopefully it's useful in the future.
