Gen 2.5 side mirror covers - color matched

Someone from another thread gave me the idea to do away with my chrome mirror caps and go color-coded. Anyone have any pics of their truck done the same way? Did you use https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~cover~outer~mirror~87915-0c060-b2.html THESE covers and simply paint them or have the chrome ones removed by a body shop and painted?

My truck is a 2020 Platinum Crew cab so I'm not sure if the above link is the exact model mirror cover needed.

 

Yes, went color matched on my grill, hood bulge, bumper end caps and mirror covers. 2018. I can't remember but I think I went with Sparks Toyota. I'll see if I can look it up...

So your link is only to the Sparks website, not a specific part number. Did you simply buy caps and cover your chrome mirror covers? You had to go to a painter for the color match?

 

Here is the e-mail I got from Sparks. They have color matched parts for Tundras, I ordered the ones for my Blazing Blue Pearl. Give them a call or write them an e-mail and they will give you the part number of color matched parts for your specific color. I found them very helpful in specifying the exact parts I was looking for.

You have to pry off your chrome covers and install the color matched covers. Threads on this exist on this site somewhere, there is a process.
