You couldn't see them last night? Our family in Michigan were sending us pictures last night. They live in the 313.

Again I was still getting the machine to run right. It's 4 years old and "doesn't need anything" as per my boss. We need at least a new wire liner, and I could stand for a newer set of regulators on the Argon and the OxyAcct rig. The porosity was just the pre and lost flow not being set up correctly. And no I don't walk it back on stupid shit like this. This is the owners personal hunting feeders and I have yet to be offered a hunt, meat or access to the "company" ranch. Aka personal ranch hidden under the company name to get a tax break. So my give a fuck is zero. Last job I worked at the boss had me do this exact same s*** above and beyond crap. I got rewarded with nothing I was giving very minimal never a bonus never even a thank you so you know what I don't give a f*** how this dude's personal s*** f****** looks. If he wants pretty maybe he should f****** learn to weld and do it his f****** self

I'm pretty sure Sunex and Tekton are one in the same.

That said, I've always used Tekton units and like them. But now I really want to test mine for accuracy.

She has Kings. The last I heard, Fox had redesigned the shock to no longer contact the brake lines. People have reported positive reviews of the ride quality.

Also they were the 2.5's that previously had the issue, not the 2.0's that @FiatRunner asked about

Found midnight on a stretch of country road works well for low traffic, and also used a 30 second timer, then drove 15 minutes nonstop after before coming to full stop when parking.

Looks like Powerstop has an FAQ that suggests 5 x 40 mph to 10 mph followed by 5 x 35 mph to 5 mph process for semi-coated and drilled and slotted, but the 30 x 30 mph to 5 mph for fully coated evolution series.

    https://www.powerstop.com/resources/brake-pad-break-in-procedure/

    https://www.powerstop.com/product/scr/

Sounds like what you did should work well especially if you drove nonstop for a while afterward for the rotor to cool before coming to a full stop.

How's the rotor look? Might see some evidence of circular bedding with a bluish tinge and possibly a grey tint where the brake pads are touching the rotor. Can bed again after fully cooling (e.g. overnight) to get full width of rotor.

    Bedding rotor.jpg

Found this article helpful. Also discusses how each manufacturer has a process ... and cleaning rotors before install with a brush using soap and water to remove left over milling and oil instead of just using brake cleaner.

I think the Pittsburg was the one that passed on both sides? But basically all the "budget" ones pretty much failed, other than that one showing promise. He basically ran a test on all 3x to see if they hit within 5% of expected TQ (at/over, IIRC). Then ran 100 cycles of TQ'ing and tested again. IIRC, one failed on the first few torques test but settled in over the 100 cycles, and passed in the after-100 cycles test.I didn't feel like it was super informative, but I am now tempted to find a legit torque measure/calibrator that's not known for being faulty, and test all of mine. Most of mine are probably at least 15yrs+ old and I've never had them recalibrated, but I also don't do anything consequential that can't rely on "good enough" hands-on experience it's adequate. If I were rebuilding an engine next weekend, I'd go have every damn wrench validated tomorrow.

Summary charts @ 10:03 into video.

Takeaway for me was any brand may or may not be accurate regardless of claims or the little certificate that comes with it so test and calibrate.

Found HF apparently had wrenches manufactured in a variety of countries each with seemingly different builds/quality, and were easily adjustable to calibrate, with some testing out of spec but consistently pulling high or low so with adjustment worked well then across the range.

Also found not all the different manufacturers' wrenches seemed easily adjustable at home and may need SST to calibrate. Some wrenches seemed inconsitent across the range, even after adjusting.

IIRC Craftsman, Husky, and Kobalt did ok in testing and actually preferred the Kobalt for build, locking mechanism (like the Husky's) and ability to recalibrate with tools at home.

Some had some bad reviews though even if they tested ok ... and short warranties.

Have seen Craftsman and Husky go on sale for almost 1/2 price.

Husky had lifetime at time of testing.

    Have the 3/8" and 1/2".

They are semi coated. still did the 30-30-30, I was able to use a parking lot that was sort of close and ran a few traffic suggestions to get there. It was just BARLEY big enough... then when I was done I made it to my drive w/o ever touching the brakes again, rolled to a stop.
It was cold here this morning so it wouldn't have taken long to cool off. Well that soap and water would have been cheaper than my $12 of brake clean :D

    and lift blocks.
10/10 when I see I brodozer it has like 6" lift blocks and that always makes me chuckle.
Some of these fools spend like $5k on wheels alone, but use hockey picks and blocks for lift haha
Not to mention rough country, pro comp, or sky jacker shocks.

Setting 5100's or 6112's up some notches is worse than a spacer lift.

By "here" you mean DFW, not the forum. I think it's anywhere you have rednecks that have more money than sense. Also I think it's what happened when you listen to country and hip hop instead of rock.

Just to be clear, before you get murked over a misunderstanding :p

Was looking at these wheels in clear . . . they don't look too ridiculous.
I'm old and they sort of remind me of the stuff that was popular in the 80's /90's . . . Weld Wheels, Centerlines, Alcoa's, etc. . . .
Would anyone here know if the fitment / dimensions would work if I wanna keep a stock size tire (or close to) and not rub ???
My old ass will freak if my tires rub . . . my DC already has the turning radius of a school bus . . . I don't need to be 'reminded' . . .LOL
