French toast is amazing, but I stay away b/c it is so easy to fuck up. At least it is at restaurants.

Also, French toast deserves its own spot on the menu. Not mentioned in the same breath as pancakes and waffles.

It amazes me to watch how 'culture' has created an environment where officers are being encouraged to be 'less safe' and spend waaaay to much time trying to negotiate w/a felony in progress at the driver's door...

Not trying to arm chair quarterback anything, but if they (the original officer) would've handled that w/an abrupt and overwhelming amount of force in the beginning, the dude might have got scuffed up a bit, but he'd still be alive and everyone else on the road would not have been put at risk; all because yanking someone out the fuckin' window is now frowned upon cuz it looks bad... This is the kinda shit that gets people needlessly killed including the suspect. Sorry, rant over

Having worked in the beverage industry for most of my adult life I fully support you on this. I've seen so many people lost to the addictions of alcohol. Being there for your daughter as a role model, and most importantly yourself, shows your integrity. Good on you for having the courage to challenge the problem you saw in your habits then overcome it.

Not that I had a problem but I stopped drinking for a healthier lifestyle. My dad had to quit drinking when he was my age, early signs of liver damage; and I drank more that he did.

 

Also, if they (the officers are handcuffed to the point of not being able to just put hands on this dude), at least screw a gun in his face so you're a step ahead of the dude while you politely beg for his compliance or handle it as a traditional felony stop from behind cover/concealment (your own patrol car) and then if dude flees at least you're not face to face pleading w/him to comply and hoping he doesn't draw first
