The late model OE off-road wheels would look great w/your colors, and can usually be found for about $500 for a set in great condition...

Installed some trd pro led headlights with the @iHacker harness. I know it’s been said before but the light output is so much better! And really like the blacked housing. IMG_6727.jpg

Thank you for the complement. I love my truck!
On the dandelion front.... If they were mine I would have declared war on them :) This picture was taken at a farm next to the local John Deere dealer.

I don't disagree, but I went with the carved because you don't see them much. Plus, I'd have to get new tires, which I just did in Feb. '23. I've been fond of the PRO wheels from the late 2.5, but then again, would need tires. I have the TRD Sport suspension already. I feel like I want a newer UI experience. Maybe thats why I'm drawn to the 3rd gen. But she's paid for. That should be enticement enough.

My bad I thought you were already running 18s; didn't know you were on 20s....

Regarding your last sentence nothing wrong w/a little sumpin' sumpin' every once in a while to freshen things up

I've got a new appreciation for the OR wheels after initially planning to yank them off my truck. But they've grown on me and I particularly like the way they turned out by this guy in this post did with his painting them

Yeah, he did an awesome job w/those...

I found a set of these about 2 years ago on this forum in my area; came w/a decent of OE LTX AT2s as take offs for $500 (wheels and tires) and about 5 hours of driving time. I believe they had about 10k on the set, so I scooped them up and put them on my '08 SR5 (dark forest green color) and it looks great w/them.

    Hey @hi_rawb

The rig is looking dialed! How are you enjoying your lighting package at the moment? When you have the LP4 on do you have some hood glare?

    Hey @hi_rawb,

Rad! That's sounds like it will be a ton of fun. Let me know how it goes and if you have any questions about our different lens patterns please feel free to reach out! We do offer IPT covers for the side of the Lp4. So if there is hood glare on your set up we can defiantly get a quote going for you.

    Best,
    Bill

No pictures, but just ordered a set of Falken Wildpeak AT4W's in 35x11.50r18 this morning from TireRack. They should arrive tomorrow and then hopefully I can get them mounted on Saturday. These will be replacing the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT's in 295/70/18. The Coopers have just about 40K on them, but are wearing unevenly at the outer edge of the tire and a little chunking going on as well. The Cooper's started to get louder around 20K miles and got a little annoying towards the end. I'm really hoping these new Falken's will be quieter. I'm also looking forward to moving to a C load down from the E load as well. Will post up some pictures once installed.

New AT4W's look sweet. I would track down the cause of the uneven tire wear, hopefully just alignment, before putting expensive new meats on there.

Yeah, I plan to get it in for alignment once they are installed. I think Westcott does alignments now, so I'll see if I can get on their schedule.

Tomorrow is today, and I did my best Thorin Oakenshield act. Passenger side: removed three bolts 1) sway bar link bolt, and 2) both ball joint bracket bolts. Loosened the top shock nuts. I left them all the way threaded, but just finger tight. Removed lower shock bolt.20240508_122756.jpg
Next I rigged up my Oakenshield log:
    20240508_125920.jpg
    20240508_125955.jpg
I did not remove my skid plates, and I did not loosen the cam bolts. I bounced, both feet, on the end of this, 20240508_125934.jpg
and the bottom of the OEM shock popped right out of the LCA bracket. After finishing removing the OEM shock, and threading the nuts onto the top of the placed Eibach shock I saw that I wasn't going to be able to bounce and at the same time line the bottom up with the LCA bracket. It was then that the 120 lbs hobbit wife came out to make sure I hadn't killed myself. Seeing me unharmed, just some scraped knuckles, she was thrilled when I asked her to bounce while I sat under her and applied my prying skills. 10 minutes later I had the lower shock bolt in and its nut finger tight.

Now, I'm celebrating, drinking a beer, and posting this. Perhaps I'll go for the driver side yet this afternoon, or perhaps it'll wait for the cooler temps. of tomorrow morning?

Put front end on jack stands. Remove bothe wheels, remove break caliper, unbolt UCA from spindle, remove the 4 bolts holding the sway bar to the frame, replace the CO. Reinstall everything. Easy peezy. I have it down to a science and can do both CO in about 2 hours by myself.

Removed Max modular bed rack for two reasons 1, 18" risers are enroute to replace 14" 2, replaced retrax bed tracks. Old ones clamp mounts and rail mounts stripped flat no more bite left. Retrax replaced under warrentee. Had to remove from truck and dismantle to replace the rails. Yes this can be done by one person, not recommended but I did it... damn I am beat down. time for several beers. btw took this old dude 5 hours

I need 1/2" more space to roll the 37" tires under the rack crossbars to fit on the bed rail spare tire mount. I don't like fighting a 100+lb tire to get the right angle... I could deflate them but... I am lazy...

Awesome! Hadn't seen that method described before. Thank you! Unfortunately, my front skid blocks easy access to the bolts holding the sway bar to the frame. It was a PITA getting the sway bar link to line up attaching it back to the LCA, so I thought about loosening the frame bolts, looked at them and said, "No, grab a longer pry bar."

I may need to take the calipers off soon. Pads are wearing unevenly. Is it typical to have the outboard pad wear twice as fast as the inboard?
